We are known for providing top notch service to our clients.We are seeking an innovative Bookkeeping Manager to join our Accounting Support and Bookkeeping Services team to facilitate the needs for multiple small businesses and high net worth clients. We offer a competitive salary, flexible work schedules, excellent benefits, community service opportunities, personalized coaching, training and opportunity for growth.We care for our clients and our employees like they are family, cultivating a great work environment.Make an IMPACT by:* Reviewing staff level projects; including internal use financial statements, annual W-2/W-3 filings, 1099/1096, various federal and state payroll filings* Obtaining and maintaining a thorough understanding of financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger structure* Ensuring timely reporting of all monthly client financial information* Managing a client base for weekly, monthly, and annual bookkeeping services and special projects* Providing various training and support for other team members of the ASBS group and other firm departments* Developing and maintaining relationships with internal staff and clients * Attending networking and marketing events, representing the ASBS department and all firm services* Occasionally working remotely with clients at their off-site locations to facilitate their financial reporting needsQualifications* Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience* BA / BS degree or equivalent* Management experience * Knowledge of multiple QuickBooks editions, ProAdvisor, achieving ProAdvisor status within 1 year of hire date* Experience with other accounting programs such as MAS90, Peachtree, and Dynamics a plus* Familiarity with payroll processing* Background in family office a plus* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethics* Ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines* Knowledge and understanding of GAAP, Tax Accounting, and Tax Depreciation* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and the ability to work well in a team environmentAs a full service public accounting firm, Berntson Porter (BP) works with a variety of clients across numerous industries and service lines.
