Come be part of it.SummaryThe Senior Accountant position is focused on the preparation of MOD's periodic, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced and growing business with conflicting deadlines. Strong communication skills are a must, as is the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of the external financial statements, periodic internal financial reporting package, and related supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform technical accounting research and draft memos in accordance with GAAP. Assist the Senior Manager in the application of new accounting standards.
• Maintain the chart of accounts.
• Assist with the external audits and quarterly reviews, including preparation of variance analysis and other supporting schedules.
• Perform testing and analysis of internal controls, ensuring appropriate internal controls over financial reporting.
• Serve as the back-up for equity administration and accounting.
• Other ad hoc projects as needed. Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3+ years of similar, progressive experience in Accounting, month-end closing procedures, reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Technologically savvy with excellent Excel skills
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Ability to effectively work with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications
    • CPA license
    • Public Accounting experience or Financial Reporting experience for a public company Physical RequirementsOffice work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects.
