Job Summary: The Construction Administrative Assistant is expected to act with a great deal of independence in the daily performance of duties, continuously demonstrating and maintaining proficiency in all construction and development related tasks, while fostering teamwork and actively contributing to Kemper Development Company's values and culture.The Construction Administrative Assistant is an organized self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative. The Construction Administrative Assistant is skillful at prioritizing and organizing, handling multiple demands simultaneously and managing complex assignments.The Construction Administrative Assistant must be an assertive, resourceful, and motivated team player with strong communication skills. Sound judgment, attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness, and ability to work effectively with a minimum amount of direction are necessary skills for this position. As a Construction Administrative Assistant, you will Coordinate and manage the administrative aspects of design and construction projects for multiple properties and four project managers. Ability to work independently, take initiative and set goals. Strong organizational, time management and planning skills with ability to multi-task. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Communicate verbally and in writing with tenants to provide excellent customer service. Schedule an participate in meetings, prepare presentation materials, and provide meeting minutes: e.g.: CapX, retail, staff meetings). Provide preconstruction and project closeout assistance. Provide accounting assistance with invoice coding and tracking. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred. 3 -5 years of progressive experience in administrative support preferably with a commercial construction or architecture firm, but not required. Proficient with computer and web applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Publisher, and SharePoint), Bluebeam. Able to work in office environment and do some fieldwork as necessary. Must be able to lift books and boxes up to 40 pounds._Successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. We adhere to Federal Guidelines; therefore, Cannabis is included in the drug screen.__This job description reflects management's assessment of essential functions.
