As a Marketing Coordinator at IMA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our industry presence through in-depth research and analysis of the insurance sector. You will delve into the latest trends, pricing strategies, and emerging themes, helping to craft IMA's thought leadership in this dynamic field. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders and IMA's Practice Leaders to gather and interpret key data points and insights. Additionally, you will enhance our research by integrating third-party data and analysis under the mentorship of our Senior Marketing Specialist, Market Intelligence & Insights. This role provides a critical opportunity to educate across the diverse sectors we serve with our insurance brokerage services. By equipping our sales teams with cutting-edge thought leadership, you will empower them to engage more effectively, enhancing our industry presence and solidifying IMA's status as a trusted leader in the insurance market.
This candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, the competency for seeing through data to create insight, and the ability to translate that insight into impactful written content. The ideal candidate will embrace a deadline-driven environment where ingenuity and teamwork are keys to being a successful member of the unit. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have to be comfortable and enjoy data driven technical writing.
What You'll Do

  • Perform primary and secondary research to develop new insight into the insurance marketplace, beyond pricing including topics such as new product development and new carrier entrants to sub-specialties
  • Correspond directly with key stakeholders to collect information specific to that market and the insurance marketplace at large
  • Distill primary and secondary research into client ready reports which clearly articulate not just what is happening, but why
  • General copy editing and writing of external facing materials
  • Ensure correct tone, voice, clarity, flow, and structure of all content
  • Ensure that content adheres to the in-house style guide
  • Proficiency with Excel workbooks and comfortable with financial analysis and data analytics
  • Support and demonstrate IMA's core values
  • Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates

    You Should Have

    • Bachelor's Degree required with a preference for a focus in Business, Communications, or related major
    • Previous experience with crafting client-facing materials for an industry specific topic required
    • 1 year of insurance experience with a broker, carrier, or financial service institution preferred
    • Ability to leverage data to create compelling and clear narrative
    • An understanding of how marketing supports strategic and operational goals, specifically revenue growth
    • Experience with MS Office products required specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
