in need! GENERAL STATEMENT : The Salvation Army is a branch of the

equal opportunity employer. SCOPE: To provide assistance in the
cleaning and maintenance of all camp facilities and grounds. To
assist each program by setting up and taking down program areas as
directed. To provide support to the staff and campers by providing
services such as trash clean up, bathroom cleaning and paper
product stocking, and to provide support in camp wide events, and
to participate in daily devotionals. GENERAL DUTIES: Attend and
participate in evening programs and spiritual activities. Assist
with evening cabin supervision and devotions as needed. Maintain a
standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and in living
quarters. Assist with the clean-up of the total camp at the end of
each session and at the conclusion of the summer. Any other duties
as assigned by the Maintenance Crew Chief or Assistant Camp
Administrator. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Safety and Supervision: Enforce
camp policies and procedures Maintain the utmost level of safety
for staff and campers at all times. Ensure compliance with American
Camping Association standards of safety and programmatic conduct at
all times. Weekly Responsibilities Assist the Maintenance Crew
Chief in any duties as requested in order to maintain a
consistently high level of efficiency in the operation of the camp
program Clean buildings and complete set ups as required in support
of scheduled programming. Clean and prepare all areas for use by
campers and guests: Dust windows, doorways, and know down all
cobwebs. Sweep floors & porches. Scrub bathroom sinks, showers,
toilets, and clean mirrors. Mop and disinfect bathroom shower &
floor. Clean disinfect and stock all bathrooms daily. Re-stock all
paper products. Empty all trash & replace can liner, and take to
main dumpster Check & replace burnt light bulbs. Prior to the start
of each camp session, close and lock all buildings and rooms not
planned for program use. Periodically check to make sure that
buildings and rooms not in use remain locked. Interior & exterior
painting as needed Moving equipment, appliances, furniture and home
furnishing as needed Assist with grounds and landscaping projects
as needed Keep the Maintenance Building neat & orderly at all times
and keep all tools in their proper location Assist with general
maintenance duties as needed Maintain inventory of supplies needed
in this service Set up evening program (i.e. campfire) & prepare
sleep out locations as needed Assist on opening day with luggage
and camper needs Maintain cleanliness and organization of the
laundry rooms Attend all scheduled staff meetings and evening
programs Conduct trail maintenance as assigned. Sweep outside
porches and walkways daily. Wash porches and walkways as needed
Keep grounds in order. Wash camp vehicles as needed. Chop firewood
for evening camp fire programs. Assist in the general upkeep and
maintenance of camp and its buildings. Assist assigned counselor
with camper nighttime procedures. Assist, as able, with camper
devotions each night in assigned cabin. Attending daily pray and
bible study meeting each morning with the rest of the maintenance
staff. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend,
squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous
basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects and reach overhead.
Ability to operate telephone. Ability to operate a desktop or
laptop computer. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to access
and produce information from a computer. Ability to understand
written information. Qualified individuals must be able to perform

$2.31 bi-weekly cost. Employees are covered by an employer paid
life insurance policy. Voluntary supplemental life, short-term and
long-term disability plans are available. Retirement Plans:
Employer-funded Money Purchase Pension Plan (Defined Contribution
Plan) 50% vested at 5 years eligible service time, employee funded
voluntary 403(b) options Parental Leave: Benefit will be one week
(5 business days) of paid leave at the employee’s normal rate of
pay for births, adoptions and foster placements. Sick Leave: 12
days annually accruing from day one, eligible for use after 3
months’ service time. Paid Vacation: 2 weeks annually accruing from
day one, for non-exempt positions. 4 weeks annually accruing from
day one, for exempt positions. Accrued vacation eligible for use
after 6 months’ service time. Paid Holidays: 13 designated holidays
1 floating holiday per year
