Job Description Job Description *Looking for 2x fresh intern
graduates from an accredited Montessori training center - AMI, AMS,
MACTE or MEIPN Starting Rate: Between $22.50 to $23.50 (depending
on experience and after 3 months probation, may receive an
increase) Shift: 8AM to 3:30PM (with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break)
Mondays to Fridays. Spring Break - OFF Mission Statement: Guiding
children 18 months – 12 years old, Bellevue Montessori School

educated community of students within the framework of acceptance,
compassion, and understanding, all in accordance with traditional
Montessori curriculum and philosophy. We support each individual
student in building a foundation for life-long learning in
preparation for future educational endeavors. Awaken a child’s
spirit and imagination. Encourage a normal desire for independence.
Foster a high sense of self-esteem. Help develop in all children
the qualities of kindness, courtesy and self-discipline. Teach
children to observe, question, and explore ideas independently.
Help children master social skills and knowledge, When accepting a
position with Bellevue Montessori School, the Associate Teacher
agrees to aid the Lead Teacher in working toward these goals and to
collaborate with the staff to provide a nurturing environment.
Associates facilitate the comprehensive development of all students
by interacting positively, confidently and respectfully with all
children, families and staff members. Associates are under the
direct supervision of the classroom Lead Teacher to which they are
assigned and the Program Director. Role: Associate Teacher (Pre-K),
Ages 3 to 6 Campus: Main or Rossano Reports To: Classroom Lead
Teacher (for Montessori training/guidance and daily support) &
Early Childhood Program Director (for schedule changes, and
questions relating to the program) Daily Hours: Monday to Friday 8
to 3:30 (including an unpaid 30-minute break and a 10-minute break)
Starting Wage: Between $22.50 to $23.50 per hour depending on
experience (3 months probationary period and may see a rate

Environment Maintain a calm, organized, and peaceful learning
environment that fosters independence. Prepare the classroom daily
with necessary materials and supplies. Keep classroom materials
tidy, restocked, and clean. Assist with end-of-day transitions,
including student belongings and drying/filing work. Rotate and
organize classroom books and prepare materials for art and
projects. Child Guidance and Interaction Engage with children using
respectful, positive language and tone. Foster independence by
encouraging children to complete tasks themselves. Support children
through observation, redirection, and the use of natural
consequences. Model grace, courtesy, and patience in all
interactions. Promote a safe and supportive environment by
proactively managing classroom behavior. Classroom Management and
Supervision Monitor and support the classroom while the lead
teacher delivers lessons. Observe and assist children as needed
without interrupting their concentration. Ensure safety and order
throughout daily routines, including work periods, lunch, and
recess. Assist during circle time and transitions, helping children
stay engaged and regulated. Maintain appropriate supervision ratios
at all times in line with state requirements. Collaboration and
Leadership Support Partner closely with the lead teacher through
regular communication and planning. Share observations and support
strategies for individual student development. Step into a
leadership role when needed, including managing the classroom
during breaks, in-service days, and summer programs. Respect
confidentiality and follow school policies and procedures. Record
Keeping and Curriculum Support Accurately track attendance and
lessons using Transparent Classroom software. Support lesson
planning and implementation for both individuals and small groups.
Observe and document student progress, behaviors, and development.
Help plan and execute unit studies, class projects, and special
events. Requirements: Early Childhood Montessori Accreditation
through PNMA, AMS, MACTE, or MEIPN At least 1 to 2 years working
experience in a classroom setting Strong communication and written
skills Experience working with Google Suite / Apps and parent /
communication platform Professional and demonstrates courtesy
Complete DCYF licensing requirements (Portable Background Check,
CPR/FA, Blood Borne Pathogen, Food Handlers Permit, TB, MMR, 30
Hours Basic Initial Childcare Course, and yearly 10 STARs hours)
Stand for long periods of time Able to lift up to 25lbs Punctual
and flexible Patient, calm, Able to work at least two weeks during
our Summer programs Bellevue Montessori School is accredited by the
