currently seeking a Senior Specialist DevOps Engineer to join our
Infrastructure Services Center of Excellence (INSCOE) team. The
candidate can be based out of any Eaton Facility in the United
States.Position Overview: The Senior DevOps engineer role will
deliver, develop, and support the IAAS Operating system and compute
product in a data center environment. This role will develop
Infrastructure as code self service solutions for customers to
reduce administration toil and improve the customer experience.
This Senior Engineer will support and engineer the data center
environment while identifying improvements and applying SRE
principles. In addition, the Lead DevOps engineer will Identify and
propose infrastructure enhancements or improvements based on

reach ours.Key Responsibilities: + Perform as a technical lead in
an Agile Scrum team to develop automated services for the
Enterprise OS Compute product+ Plan, co-ordinate and implement
product enhancements to better serve Eaton internal IT customers by
reducing administrative toil and improving team efficiency.+
Implement solutions for customer self-service by developing
Infrastructure-as-code.+ As the development lead, co-ordinate with
the scrum master to ensure assignment of applicable Jira items to
team members.+ Lead technical discussions within the team to plan
and set technical direction for development tools and practices. +
Perform Quality assurance and sign off for critical and large
development initiatives. + Lead the support effort for the
Enterprise OS Compute product throughout its lifecycle by
coordinating incremental updates based on customer and product
manager feedback.+ Identify and implement SRE methodologies to
reduce support request volume and implement self-healing
automations of the Enterprise Operating System landscape at Eaton.
+ Support the classic data center environments through the
transition to a product centric model and act as a technical lead
when necessary+ Act as an escalation point for critical
infrastructure events when necessary+ Deliver Operating System
workloads for the business to support project delivery. +
Participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation to provide 24/7
support for the Enterprise OS Compute environment. + Lead
Collaborations with relevant support teams to achieve world-class
robustness and resiliency for the enterprise.+ Empathize with
customer to address concerns and assess needs; communicate with
customers in non-technical language.+ Liaise effectively with
enterprise support groups including network support, customer
service desk, client support, database teams, architecture groups,
and security teams as well as external OEMs & Third-Party vendors
to resolve issues.+ Independently handles complex functions related
to the maintenance and operations of Windows and Linux based Server
hardware and applicable Operating Systems including OS patching,
VMWare, Storage Systems, Backup technologies.When we embrace the

QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:+ Bachelor's Degree
from an accredited institution is required.+ Minimum 7 years of IT
experience is required+ Candidate must be authorized to work in the
US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship+ This position
requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject
to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All
applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR
defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident
(i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.Preferred
Qualifications:+ Microsoft Certified Azure DevOps Engineer Expert+
Red Hat Certified System Administrator+ Certified Scrum
developerPosition Criteria:+ Experience with modern development
methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and DevOps+ Experience in
Infrastructure-As-Code and Automation tools such as Ansible,
PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Runbook Management+ Working knowledge of
Git version control software and work management platforms such as
Atlassian Jira.+ Experience administering, engineering, and
supporting enterprise operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise
Linux and Microsoft Windows Server.+ Working knowledge of
enterprise networking concepts+ Fundamental understanding of
ServiceNow+ Basic knowledge of enterprise data storage and backup
concepts including NetBackup+ Working Knowledge of VMWare and
