RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client, a growing High Tech Semiconductor Company in Redmond, WA is seeking a Principal Reliability Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. The Principal Reliability Engineer will be developing high-performance solutions for consumer electronics, industrial automation, robotics, and automotive applications. We are seeking a Reliability Engineer for our next gen product R&D team. This person will be responsible for testing, metrology, and reliability of our proprietary technology and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Principal Reliability Engineer will define reliability requirements and develop reliability qualification plans for our advanced optics control chip
  
• Perform failure analysis to understand root cause and drive resolution of failures
  
• Manage the design and implementation of qualification hardware and software, including accelerated lifetime testing
  
• Design and implement custom test fixtures for mechanical and electric tests
  
• Run internal quality tests, and manage qualification tests with external partners
  
• Bring up electrical probe card-based test setup
  
• As a Principal Reliability Engineer, you will support product characterization to AEC Q100
  
• Participate in and contribute to design reviews, DFMEA, etc. through the entire product development life cycle; Assess and communicate reliability risk to stakeholders
  
• Perform failure analysis to understand root cause and drive resolution of failures occurring during product development and during the full product lifetime cycle
  
• Maintain an organized record of experiments and database of results
  Job Requirements:REQUIREMENTS:
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
    
  • 5-7 years of Semiconductor Industry Experience especially in Reliability Engineering
    
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and thermal failure modes in semiconductor material
    
  • Ability to creatively apply established metrology tools to new applications
    
  • Sound mathematic and statistical background
    
  • Perform failure analysis to understand root cause and drive resolution of failures
    
  • Must have Semiconductor experience
    
  • Experience setting up new test methods, building equipment and doing data analysis
    
  • Must be able to figure out how to build an operation from scratch
    
  • Optics experience a plus but not required
    
  • Experience in optical device characterization is preferred
    
  • Knowledge and experience in semiconductor BEOL process desired
    
  • Detail-oriented, with an eye for diligent record keeping
    
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
