Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer, we'll count on you to: Coordinate the work of mechanical engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development Assess and design wide range on HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of projects (water/wastewater, commercial and industrial projects). Participate in marketing, design and production meetings with regard to mechanical systems Assume the mechanical lead on multiple projects Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with the Project Managers, Project Architects and other disciplines Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule Track the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work efforts with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon budget Work with the Project Manager, Regional Controller and Regional Director for project reviews with corporate management as needed Perform other duties as needed QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 10 years experience in HVAC and plumbing system design Computer experience using MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, manufacturer selection software Revit MEP experience preferred Demonstrated leadership skills, previous team coordination and project management experience Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must PE Fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This position requires onsite client visits, or, this position will be co-located at the client site. The client requires all contractors/consultants/vendors who work or visit the site be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.Preferred QualificationIndividuals who have prior experience in one or more of the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply. Ability / previous experience to serve in Project Lead Engineer role for Mechanical Engineering Discipline Ability to serve / previous experience in Project Manager role for projects including cost tracking, schedule tracking and client invoicing. Previous experience working for an engineering consulting firm. Experience with design of power plant mechanical systems, equipment, and components (e.g., circulating water systems, steam cycle, boiler feedwater systems, combustion turbine systems, compressed air systems, water and waste water treatment systems, pumping systems, piping design, process control, etc). Experience with preparing procurement and design specifications for new installations as well as upgrade of existing facilities and equipment. Experience with ASME B31.1 piping code Experience with piping specifications development, piping supports design, and pipe stress calculations Experience with NavisWorks, AutoCAD Plant 3D and/or other 3D-database driven design processes is a plus."
