OVERVIEW:Senior Network Engineer's role is to lead enterprise network stability, integrity/security, and efficient operation of Betacom's Network Infrastructure that support core company functions and provide technical guidance, design, and operational support for the Betacom 5GaaS production network customer integrations. This is achieved by designing, implementing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links, and associated operating systems and managing the companies cloud integrations. This role serves a resource to the 5GaaS engineering and operations teams for integrations and support.The Senior Network Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize stability and performance of Betacom's communications infrastructure. A key responsibility is effectively communicating to management and IT Staff regrading communication outages and degradation of network performance. The Senior Network Engineer is a core member of the Betacom IT Cybersecurity team setting standards for security infrastructure and monitoring the company infrastructure for potential threats. This individual will also mentor and provide guidance to the companies tier 1 IT staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establishes and maintains network performance.
• Builds net configurations and connections.
• Troubleshoots network problems.
• Collaborate with the IT and 5GaaS Engineering teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation network infrastructure for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
• Work with team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve network issues.
• Conduct research on network infrastructure products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
• IP address auditing.
• Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation.
• Defines, documents, and enforces system standards.
• Maximizes performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades.
• Configures routers.
• Updates data servers and network equipment.
• Collaborates with network architects on network optimization.
• Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access. Member of IT/5G Cybersecurity Team.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, attending technical training and industry meetings, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
• Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.

    • BA in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field
    • 5-10 years' experience in network administration
