We are seeking people that think differently and are biased toward action to accomplish great things.Diverse & Inclusive - we enable people who bring a contemporary view to shape our internal teams and encourage all to feel included.One Microsoft - we collaborate and value the work of others, combining their learnings with our own to make a better outcome for our customers.Making a difference - we drive impact by looking for ways to continually improve our day-to-day responsibilities and the connections between our work and others.This position is a critical part of the Deployment Services team and in direct support of our Modern Life, Gaming and Customer Support (MLGCS) business delivering on complex project agreements and operational changes that support our CE&S strategies.In this role you will engage with peers, key stakeholders, senior level leaders, and business owners to:Identify project details (Scope, dependancies, timing) to gather release or project requirements and integrate them into an overall workback plan(s).Effectively utilize resources/tools to track project actions and owners.Identify, track, and mitigate risks.Status, communicate (both verbally and in writing) the overall status and aspects of a project.With team of consultants, successfully lead and deploy process and operational changes to both internal and external customers, as outlined by project criteria.This position requires a high level of cross-group coordination, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to drive collaborative discussions with key stakeholders and team is important. Further, you (may) be required to communicate across various levels of the organization. You'll develop and foster effective cross-functional relationships and successfully plan and execute changes across the CE&S business. You will bring strong Program and Project Management skills, be interested in, and able to understand and develop support strategies along with the ability to focus on detailed level tasks, simultaneously. Success metrics include scheduling, coordination of resources, risk mitigation, communication, postmortems, and adherence to Deployment Services Framework (e.g., tool utilization, project gates, communication plans) of projects.QualificationsAs a Business Program Manager within Deployment Services, you will need to be energetic, team oriented, practice inclusion with your work, a strategic thinker and a self-starter. You will need an aptitude for seeking creative solutions to multifaceted problems and must have a strong attention to detail. Ability to be an effective team player. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is a must. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to work with and influence managers and individual contributors to achieve consensus and drive the planning of actions/deliverables with a project team. The successful candidate should possess the following experience for the following competencies:3+ years project/program management supporting external customers and/or an equivalent combination of training (PMP, Six Sigma, Prosci) and experienceStrong organizational, cross group collaboration, project management, time management and negotiation skillsUnderstanding deployment processesStrategic thinking (long term, preventative risk mitigation) and orchestration of complex support planningProven track record of driving strategy and influencing senior leadersDemonstrated record of thought leadership, driving change for improvement.Experience resourcing and leading project team(s)Evident industry knowledge and experience with the end-to-end project managementFamiliarity with Microsoft work streams and their function (involved in most releases)The ability to manage, track and communicate a multitude of details at many organizational levels within multiple projects and relay status promptlyStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesAdept at working with other groups to identify and improve processesThe ability to deliver tough messages diplomatically and quickly drive toward solutions to problemsProven ability to design and balance strategic priorities against tactical needsMaintain a proactive approach to customer happiness, identifying customer satisfaction concerns and managing customer expectationsMust has a passion for servicing internal and external customers#CXDDOMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
