This is position will be a hybrid role with project manager and
analyst responsibilities.
This position is for responsible for leading project delivery for
mid to large and sophisticated enterprise projects with cross
functional project teams that may be comprised of several
departments, have high visibility, risk to brand or business,
ambitious schedules, require influencing skills to balance the
needs of project partners, and/or work with 3rd party vendors.
Projects may be multi-tiered comprising several smaller projects
that span multiple years, larger budget & business impacts. This
position will apply standard project management methodologies,
processes/procedures, e.g., projects have clear start/end dates,
specific workforce resource allocations, budgets, and are clearly
identified as a "project" by the business.
Projects will be more business/operations/sales focused that are
consumer impacting vs technical or engineering focused.Job
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for, and drives, project status reporting and
meetings as communication and management tools. Effectively uses
communications to ensure project health, risk potential, and to
maintain a strong project team with a sense of respect and trust.
Implements project delivery process improvements and serves as a
change agent.
- Identifies potential risks across a broad number of individual
projects within a program and establishes communications and
mitigations to address them. Communicates risks in clear business
terms and technical terms and provides clear messaging and solution
options at a senior leadership and executive level in both planned
and ad hoc scenarios.
- Aligns the program strategy with the program business goals.
Defines and establishes the overall program structure, applying the
definition and scope of all sub-projects, program support
activities, and departmental structure.
- Establishes the tools and processes to supervise and report on
the program health and progress towards program goals. Adjusts
resources and organizational structure as the focus and goals of
the program change to ensure efficient delivery of results.
- Incorporates strategic factors into program/project scope and
recommendations. Influences and recommends factors that inspire
change and scope creep. Leads the implications of change, including
legitimate scope shift and impact.
- Sets partner and program team expectations and ensures that the
deliverables are aligned with business goals. Establishes the
program KPI measurements and quality control points and aligns
reporting to supervise progress against the measurements.
Proactively anticipates and mitigates issues through validation.
Support the preparation of Change Requests that need to be
submitted to formal change boards.
- Partners with Account Executives to support clients, prospect
sales opportunities in existing businesses, and provide other
operational and administrative assistance for Account
Executives.
- Successfully serve as a liaison between the technical functions
and the business clients. Identifies and resolves project impacting
issues, works with members of the project management team,
Technology, and business SMEs/executives to develop, and implement
viable solutions.
- Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by
business management as needed.Education:
- Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Project
ManagementWork Experience:
- 6+ yrs of formal Project Management work experienceKnowledge,
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint), as well as Project, Visio, SharePoint
- Strong understanding of PM principles and practices and how to
put them into practice
- Experience in multiple system development life cycle
methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills at all
levels
- Ability to flex roles, functioning as a Business System Analyst
when needed, is a plus
- Background in telecom a plusLicenses and Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Pref
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully
vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work, unless precluded
