Job Description:

Bungie is looking for a visionary Art Director to drive the aesthetic foundation of a brand new, 3rd-person action game, and then carry that vision through production and into the hands of delighted players. They will work closely with game leadership from day one, ensuring that the art is developed in unison with design, narrative, and technology. They will build and lead a team of talented artists, fostering a culture of deep collaboration, inclusive values, craft excellence and critical candor that assumes positive intent. This position is available for fully remote work in CA, FL, IL, NC, TX, OR, and WA RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set an inspiring aesthetic vision for the project and communicate it clearly and broadly in multiple channels and formats
• Ensure consistency of quality and visual direction for all art on the project
• Creatively solve visual problems in collaboration with internal and partner teams
• Partner with the production team to ensure schedules and plans meet project needs
• Build, grow, mentor, and guide the Art team, including directly managing Art Leads
• Champion art through all phases of development, from early concept pitch, through prototypes, pre-production, production and deployment REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Shipped at least one AAA or large mobile title as an Art Director
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude fueled by a passion to collaborate in a cross-culture environment
  • Initiative to solve problems and an excellent follow-through
  • Experience delivering clear and consistent visual feedback that elevates other artists' work
  • Desire to work closely with game design to ensure the game's art improves the player experience
  • Ability to foster a dynamic and collaborative team environment NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
    • Experience working on a live game ("game as a service")
    • Experience working with External partners
