Job DescriptionKitchen Manager SummaryThank you for taking the time to apply for the Kitchen Manager position at our company! As the Kitchen Supervisor you'll lead the back-of-house daily operation and talent resource. Your focus will be to always meet or exceed the operating standard of excellence while coaching team members. You'll manage inventories, performs administrative paperwork, controls prime costs as it relates to product and labor, controllable expenses to ensure budgets are met, sets up goals/plans for sales increase and cost reduction while managing part of the menu.We look forward to speaking with you about this opportunity and what you can bring to the team! Duties

  • Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor when helping guests and receiving feedback.
  • Manage and elevate back-of-house standards, controlling food costs and ensuring food quality.
  • Communicate goals by rallying team members during busy shifts, resolving conflicts, and removing obstacles.
  • Organize work schedules, shipments, cleaning schedules and other tasks.
  • Resolve a variety of issues as they occur including, but not limited to team member training gaps (using side-by-side training and our learning management system), handling unsatisfied guests, and ensuring the shop has accurate inventory levels.
  • Accurately and easily communicate standards and cooking methods to staff, give orders and speak with customers clearly.
  • Manage inventory including ordering supplies, food and ingredients based on rapidly shifting demand.
  • Train kitchen staff in all stations based on needs and maintain a highly productive team
  • Obtain skills and knowledge for basic equipment maintenance on kitchen appliances.
  • Follow through on daily quality check and maintain a high standard in the store.
  • Assist the General Manager with menu changes and adjustments based on seasonal availability
  • Other duties as assignedRequirements
    • A minimum of 3 years of restaurant experience, and 1 year of supervisor experience
    • High School diploma or GED
    • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
    • Must have (or be willing to obtain) a valid food handler's permit.
    • Ability to be vigilant and attentive to the needs of customers.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to interpret and analyze reports on food cost, labor and sanitation
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to train and support team member growth.
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to withstand temperature extremes and exposure to cleaning chemicals, smoke, fumes and airborne particles.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
