Position Summary: The Senior Promotions Manager will be responsible for managing the promotional operations for the T-Mobile Account Team in Samsung Electronics America. You will manage offer analyses including forecasting lift and cost to optimize efficiency for the handset, tablet, watch and accessories categories. The Senior Promotions Manager will also be responsible for detailed performance tracking, forecast modeling and other various in-depth analyses, reporting to the Director of Finance for the T-Mobile Account Team in Samsung Electronics America. In addition, the incumbent will partner closely with the Sales, Marketing and Category Management teams to ensure the promotional plan is meeting quarterly/annual sales goals.Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for promotional management processes and systems to manage/track all offers for the various Mobile categories
  • Partner with other Finance team members on marketing and sales deduction investment activities, meeting spend efficiency benchmarks to achieve internal program approval
  • Responsible for managerial and internal use reporting on promotional activities
  • Review reasonableness of marketing and sales deduction expense forecast and assist with forecasting process
  • Review and submit sales and marketing programs for Company leadership approval
  • Effective communication and management between customer and internal finance departments
  • Gain deep understanding of carrier's promotional structure to optimize Samsung offers and enable negotiations of funding support
  • Perform rigorous analysis on historical promotional spend (sales, marketing, merchandizing), pricing, and competitive actions to help inform future activities
  • Assist with ad hoc strategic projects, including planning, tracking, reporting, and documentation of all aspects of the projectsQualifications/Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field required
    • 12 years or more of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered
    • Experience in managing and tracking promotional offers -
    • Experience in developing financial and operational analysis and presentation to senior leadership
    • Strong financial and forecasting knowledge
    • Exceptional Excel & PowerPoint skills, familiarity with SAP and other ERP systems
    • Strong database management skills; detail orientedNecessary Skills & Attributes:
      • A results oriented, self-starter who can run with projects while keeping key stakeholders updated on progress, opportunities and issues
      • Collaborative, flexible mindset to develop and implement new initiatives, while continuing to drive awareness and participation in existing programs

      • Strong time and project management skills - able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with concurrent and competing deadlines
      • Willing to able to travel nationally. Travel about 10% of time.Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:
        • The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
        • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
        • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. -

        • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.

        • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
