*Position: Volunteer and Community Engagement Manager**Hours: * *40 hrs. Week**Classification: * *Regular, Full Time, Exempt**Reports to: Director of Philanthropy**Location: Multiple locations, hybrid and flexible role**Salary: $66,000-$75,000*_Note re: COVID-19: CFH follows the most current health and safety guidelines provided by King County Public Health and the CDC. This position is required to wear personal protective equipment at all times while on site and may be exposed to people who may have the COVID-19 virus._*About CFH: *CFH is a secular 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1993 to provide a warm, safe, and hospitable place for single men to sleep and be nourished with three healthy meals each day. Today, with phenomenal partnerships and support from King Countys Eastside community, CFH serves more than 1,300 people each year with street outreach, day center services, shelters, permanent subsidized housing, case management, and other life-saving supportive servicesincluding 125,000 meals. CFH is a healthy, fiscally stable organization with a dedicated Board and staff poised to advance its mission.Our mission is to partner with men & the community to create a path from homelessness to stable living.Our core values are relationship, community, empowerment, respect & dignity. These values embody how we work with the men, community, and each other.This is a very exciting time for CFH as the organization engages the wider community in new and impactful ways to foster hope, dignity and the building blocks that provide stability to people in need on our streets. We are also coming to the end of a successful capital campaign to build the first-ever permanent shelter for men experiencing homelessness on the Eastside. Staff and clients will move into this permanent, dignified space in March 2023.*OVERVIEW OF POSITION: *The Volunteer and Community Engagement Manager (VCEM) will partner with the community, organizations, and corporations to provide meaningful volunteer and engagement opportunities.This is a public- and donor-facing role that requires someone skilled at building relationships and at partnering with a variety of internal and external constituents. Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the VCEM is a key member of the fundraising team who will help to connect our current donors to our mission and to introduce perspective community members to CFHthis person will often be the first point of contact with people first learning about CFH.*Volunteer Program Management*Work closely with staff to identify mission-based needs that can be successfully met by individuals or groups of volunteers, for both one-time and for ongoing needs.Develop and implement a variety of year-round, re-occurring and episodic volunteer engagement experiences, including events.Create and maintain volunteer program job descriptions and collateral for print, web and social media promotion.Develop and routinely update training manuals, orientation procedures and volunteer policies.Recruit volunteers and recommends assignments that will make the best use of individual talents.Serve as the first point of contact for volunteers and lead orientation for new volunteers.Implement a volunteer sign up database.Maintain up-to-date records of volunteer activities and community relationships.Coordinate with departments to ensure that all volunteers placed in their area receive appropriate training and ongoing support. Ensure that once placed, volunteers receive regular feedback and training from department supervisors as needed.Ensure periodic evaluation of volunteer performance and volunteer program.Implement ongoing volunteer appreciation and stewardship systems, including an annual appreciation event.*Community Engagement*Grow and foster CFHs relationships with corporations and community organizations, and engage corporations and workplaces in employee volunteer opportunitiesDevelop community engagement activities and strategies that are customized to CFHs network of faith community supporters, in collaboration with key staff, which includes attending monthly liaison meetings.Promote the volunteer program within Bellevue and neighboring communities, including making presentations to community groups.Represent CFH at community tabling events, workplace giving fairs, congregational or faith service fairs, speaking opportunities, and other eventsPartner with the Director of Philanthropy to organize formal and informal community engagement opportunities.Other duties as assigned.*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE*Bachelors degree preferredAt least three years of experience with volunteer managementA love of building relationships and supporting volunteersExcellent written, verbal, and public speaking communication skillsAbility to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, solve problems and meet deadlinesExperience in donor or volunteer management softwareRequires some evening and weekend scheduling*CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS*Washington driver's license and insurable driving record required.*PHYSICAL DEMANDS*Physical ability to sit, walk, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.Ability to stand, stoop, bend, grasp, and/or hold work located at the office or other locations as needed.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Requires individual is able to safely lift and carry at least 35 lbs. and must occasionally lift/carry push up to 45 pounds.Must be able to access and navigate each department at the agencys facilities.*SUBMISSION: *A summary of qualifications/resume limited to two pages and a cover letter including a personal statement expressing how the mission of CFH aligns with your personal and professional goals.*SALARY & BENEFITS: *Annual Salary Range: $66,000-$75,000Regular employees who work at least twenty hours per week are eligible for prorated benefits including medical and dental insurance at a reduced cost to the employee, paid time off, holidays and employer matched retirement.Flexible work schedule with ability to work a partial schedule from home as approved by supervisor and based on specific position requirements.*TIMELINE: *Applications will be considered on an ongoing basis; position open until filled.*Please send a resume and cover letter to careers at cfhomeless dot org*_CFH does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, age, genetic information, sensory, mental or physical handicap, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, familial status, parental status, citizenship status, pregnancy, veteran status, political ideology or any other basis protected by applicable law.__CFH serves people from diverse cultures, races, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ages.
