Rippling's success comes from the strength of its platform products that enable businesses to effectively manage their entire workforce and organization securely at scale. Device management is providing a full end-to-end service for ensuring the productivity of employees strong platform layer enables Rippling to build as a startup of startups. -This engineering leadership role will be responsible for building the product and team that strengthens the device foundations. This team will be responsible for a suite of core products and services that enables the next generation of device management, security, and IT administration products to scale. This team will have a combination of both directly user-facing products as well as interfaces for other engineering teams. There are challenges for the team that ranges from building for usability to scaling for massive scale and a wide array of engineering requirements.You'll be working on defining, driving, and delivering the technical roadmap of the team, hiring talented engineers who can continue to build out our scalable systems, and defining the underlying infrastructure of device management at Rippling for the next 5 years and beyond.What You'll DoProvide technical leadership and vision in a widely scoped engineering team.Work collaboratively with other cross-functional teams and leaders.Work cross-functionally with product management leadership to drive said vision.Balancing a long-term vision with a high-impact and iterative roadmap.Drive company-wide engineering initiatives and process changes.Drive the development of the product and platform in a fast-paced environment.Ability to lead and grow an organization from 10 to 25Coach and mentor engineers at different levels to achieve their career goals.Qualifications8+ years of engineering or engineering management experienceExperience building a large-scale platform for web and mobile appsExpertise in building complex distributed servicesProven track record of taking initiative and leading projectsProficiency in recruiting, organizing, and motivating teamsYou care about product ownership and solving problems for our customers.You're passionate about being in a product-focused environment where everyone cares deeply about customer impact.Additional InformationThis role will receive a competitive salary + benefits + equity. The salary for US-based employees will be aligned with one of the ranges below based on location; see which tier applies to your location here.Tier 1: $225,000 - $315,000/yearTier 2: $202,000 - $284,000/year -Tier 3: $191,000 - $268,000/yearA variety of factors are considered when determining someone's compensation-including a candidate's professional background, experience, and location.
