Job DescriptionInterim HealthCare of Bellevue offers the freedom

Infusion Nurse to work in either a Home Health or clinical setting!

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to
join our team! We offer a variety of opportunities, including
part-time and full-time positions. Essential Functions:
- Reads and analyzes technical reports and data (e.g. lab and
diagnostic reports), policy and procedure manuals, written
physician's orders, and safety manuals, as well as a variety of
instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule
form.
- Responds to inquiries and complaints from physicians, patients,
family/visitors, colleagues and other health care providers and
supervisors.
- Presents written and verbal education and direction to
patients, family, licensed and unlicensed staff.
- Utilizes and calculates fractions, percentages, volume, ratios,
and proportions, as well as apply basic algebraic concepts to
practical situations (e.g. drug calculations, infusion rate
calculations) in the course of daily assignments.
- Establishes effective relationships with patients, physicians,
families/visitors, coworkers and superiors.
- Provides professional, respectful and compassionate care to all
patients.
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care provided to
all patients assigned.
- Recognizes changing patient conditions and emergency situations
and appropriately intervenes.
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and
leadership in planning, implementing and evaluating the care of the
patient.
- Displays a working knowledge of disease pathophysiology, common
diagnostic tests and procedures, as well as treatment plans.
- Provides direct care to patients with a wide variety of
diagnoses, conditions, and diseases through ongoing contact
throughout the assignment/shift.
- Administers medications according to established medication
administration principles, physician orders and facility policy and
procedures.
- Reviews, interprets, transcribes and carries out physician
orders.
- Maintains a safe environment for all patients assigned.
- Operates all patient equipment and devices according to
operating instructions and facility policy.
- Provides legible, clear written or electronic documentation of
all patient care provided, medications administered, and the
patient's response to care.
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient information in
accordance with contracting employer's policies and
procedures.
- Supervises professional and non-professional personnel
providing patient care. Provides supervision to others through task
assignments, direction, evaluation and feedback of assigned
tasks.
- Completes other assignments as requested and assigned.
- May have access to personal health information ("PHI")
necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access
to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each
organization/department.
- Monitors and evaluates patient response according to identified
criteria, and participates in quality management activities.
- Assess patients with regard to diagnosis, developmental stage
and/or special conditions that impact treatment or choice of
vascular access devices.
- Interact with health care team to keep them informed of any
changes in patient condition.
- Recognize abnormal conditions or potential problems, take
appropriate action, and notify appropriate personnel.
- Document interventions and evaluations accurately and promptly;
demonstrate understanding of policies within institution, and
interact with others to promote and enhance positive
relationships.
- Initiate and maintain accurate accounting of instruments,
appliances and supplies used during procedures.
- Participate in activities to ensure the safety of the patient
(i.e., monitoring and use of equipment, medication and solutions;
positioning patient, use of aseptic technique and infection control
methodology).
- Administer medications/infusions under the order of a physician
and according to state practice act.
- Evaluate new products and supplies related to infusion
therapy.
- Completes other assignments as requested and assigned.
- May have access to personal health information ("PHI")

organization/department.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
- Knowledge of but may not be limited to Blood products and
infusion medications/solutions, indications for infusion, dosages,
side effects and potential toxicity.
- Verbal and written communication skills to facilitate the
translation of ideas and facts to persons within and beyond the
scope of infusion/intravenous therapy specialty.
- Able to provide proof of a valid driver's license, if
applicable.
- Able to provide proof of valid auto liability insurance if
assignment(s) include driving own vehicle.
- Ability to work as a member of a team, including but not
limited to the ability to manage stress appropriately, to make
decisions under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain and demonstrate professional behavior at
all times.Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current license in state(s) in which
he/she is employed and practices.
- One (1) year RN experience within the past 5 years, which
includes the practice of infusion therapy in the medical-surgical
or critical care setting.
- Meets applicable health requirements to provide patient
care.
- Current BLS certification and other training as required by the
contracting facility or evidence of current CPR training card for
infants, children and adults.
- Current immunizations
- TB test
- Two (2) positive work references
- Successfully complete and pass background check and drug
test
