Neonatal Pediatric Transport Respiratory Care Practitioner at Providence Health and Services summary: This role involves providing specialized respiratory care and critical transport services for neonatal, infant, and pediatric patients within a hospital and during ground transport. The position requires appropriate licensure, pediatric respiratory care training, and experience working in hospital respiratory care environments. Our dedicated External Transport team provides critical care and safely transports neonatal patients back to our facility. We proudly feature a NICU with a specialized Small Baby unit, catering specifically to the most vulnerable micro-preemies. The role involves setting up and operating various types of critical care and respiratory care equipment used in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases. This includes support in a referral center, during ground transport, and in the base hospital. Ground transport will be limited to neonatal, infant, and pediatric patient populations. You will perform specialized skills and manage equipment and techniques pertaining to neonates, infants, and pediatric patients, such as: Neonatal resuscitation Delivery room attendance Airway support & stabilization Surfactant administration Nitric administration Conventional and High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV) necessary for NICU/PICU care Providence Swedish caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable.
