Registered Nurse (RN) | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Location: Seattle, WA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,070 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Seattle, Washington, 98122! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 3 years in NICU Level III or IV License: Current compact or applicable state license Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Experience in the care of neonates 23-24 weeks gestation - Proficiency in administering blood and blood products - Skills in cardiac procedures such as cardioversion and defibrillation - Experience with ventilator management including various modes - Capability in managing feeding tubes and central lines Description: Previous employees must be separated from any affiliated facilities for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for this position. Travelers typically do not admit babies, as dedicated staff handle this responsibility. Occasionally, travelers may float to Pediatrics if required, but this is rare. Travelers should be open to floating to different campuses as necessary. The NICU has a capacity of 77 beds, with an average census of around 50 patients. Block scheduling is possible and travelers can work three or more consecutive shifts. The unit cares for neonates at 23-24 weeks gestation and does not utilize ECMO. Common therapies include CPAP, BiPAP, high-frequency ventilation, and blood product administration. The nursing ratio is typically 2 patients per nurse during the day. Staffing includes support from physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and unit secretarial staff. Candidates should gather supervisory references covering one year within the last three years. Compliance requirements will need to be fulfilled promptly.
