Nurse Practitioner | Surgery - Cardiothoracic Location: Tacoma, WA Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient surgical support in a high-acuity cardiovascular surgery program. This role requires strong hands-on experience in cardiac and thoracic procedures , including robotic-assisted cases, and comfort with call responsibilities. Schedule & Coverage Weekdays: 3–4 days per week (typically 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, may extend) On Call: Yes Approx. 1:6 night call and weekend call Call days may run 10–12 hours Weekends: Required (variable based on census) Setting: Inpatient FTE: 1.0 Assignment Details Pay: Inquire for details (competitive locum rates available) Start: ASAP upon credentialing Credentialing Timeline: ~90 days EMR: Epic Patient Volume: ~20 adult patients/day Pay Rates (Includes Gratis Hours) Hourly: $212–$222/hour Night Call: $432–$465 per night Includes 2 hours gratis for pager coverage 24-Hour On Call: $1,108–$1,368 per 24 hours Includes 8 hours gratis 24-Hour Holiday Call: $1,800–$2,232 per 24 hours Includes 8 hours gratis Call Back: $213–$220/hour Paid per hour of patient contact time only , after applicable gratis hours are met Malpractice: Included in all rates Clinical Responsibilities OR first assist for cardiothoracic procedures Pre- and post-operative patient evaluation and management Daily inpatient rounds and discharge planning ICU and step-down unit management Emergent bedside procedures (chest tubes, arterial lines, etc.) Evening, night, and weekend surgical coverage Clinic wound checks and urgent visits as needed Procedures & Case Mix Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) Valve surgeries (open and minimally invasive) Aortic and arch reconstruction Robotic-assisted thoracic surgery (high volume) VATS procedures Endoscopic vein harvest Open radial artery harvest Thoracic and foregut procedures Weekly Volume: 6–8 cardiac cases/week 9–12 thoracic cases/week (majority robotic) Support & Resources Multidisciplinary cardiothoracic surgery team Experienced surgeons and APP support Dedicated RN support staff Advanced robotic surgery program High-acuity, high-volume surgical environment Presentation Requirements Updated CV (including locum history) Provider contact information Availability NPI and/or license number Malpractice/background documentation References (if available) Scope of services Requirements MANDATED Requirements (REQUIRED) Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner Minimum 3 years of CV/CT Surgery experience Active WA license (preferred) or IMLC ACLS, BLS, DEA Clean malpractice history Comfort with robotic-assisted thoracic surgery Self-sufficient in CT surgery setting (no locum training provided) Benefits ??
