Registered Nurse (RN) | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Location: Silverdale, WA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,295 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification NRP STABLE Must-Have: Must have experience in Level II NICU. Must have experience with stabilization and attending high and low-risk deliveries. Experience with postpartum couplet care including well newborns and maternal care is preferred. Description: The unit provides specialized care for babies born with low birth weight, prematurity, and those recovering from serious conditions. Conditions treated include respiratory issues, hemodynamic issues, and challenges of substance abuse. The unit stabilizes and transfers babies born below 32 weeks. Surgeries and ECMO are not part of the care provided. The nurse-patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity. Registered Nurses are required to manage typical drips such as TPN and lipids. Ventilator management experience is necessary as respiratory therapy is available 24/7. There are no patient care technicians on this unit; all nursing staff handle patient care. Charge nurses are available on each shift but do take on assignments. Every other weekend, shifts include Saturday and Sunday for days, and Friday and Saturday for nights. The schedule provides flexibility as long as it meets the department's needs. Holidays are rotated with permanent staff. Candidates should be adaptable to workflows, policies, and feedback to ensure quality care.
