    • Works directly with Sous Chef(s), Cooks and Kitchen Manager(s)
    • Execute preparation and cooking of assigned items from Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Prep Lead, or Lead Cook
    • Assists Cooks with preparation for daily items
    • Coordinate with the Sous Chef(s), Kitchen Manager(s), or to organize shared responsibilities
    • Responsible for the preparation of vegetables, fruits, proteins, etc.
    • Properly washes, prepares, fabricates all assigned items
    • Properly labels and dates all assigned items
    • Knowledgeable in FIFO
    • Ensure that all food items are prepared as per standard according to recipes and directions while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste
    • Assists cooks with organizing prepped items for service
    • Properly cools and stores all prepared items
    • Assists the Porter Team with garbage, recycling, compost, and sanitizer buckets as needed
    • Assists Kitchen Manager and cooks during service hours to keep the lines stocked
    • Assists with receiving and checking in deliveries
    • Properly temp products and record in log
    • Assist on the hotline to cover breaks or PTO of fellow team members
    • Responsible for cleaning the equipment used including individual station, food processing equipment and tools, etc.
    • Follow all HACCP plans and procedures and take corrective action as needed
    • Ensure that all food preparation equipment is being used safely and correctly and that it is cleaned and maintained
    • Ensure that a consistent first-class product of the highest quality is achieved and maintained in the production kitchen while adhering to operational deadlines
    • To project a positive and motivated attitude amongst all Team Members

        Knowledge and Skills
        • Basic culinary skills and beginning experience with high volume production and large batch cooking
        • Basic proficiency of food and catering trends with a focus on quality and sanitation
        • Strong communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
        • Sense of urgency and ability to work and lead a team within a safe mannerEducation and Work Experience
          • Culinary school degree preferred but not required
          • Experience in full service, moderate to high volume Restaurant, Club or Catering establishment preferred but not requiredWork Environment
            • Fast paced kitchen
            • High sense of urgency
            • Moderate to high noise level
            • Exposure to soap and cleaning solutions
            • Slippery/uneven surfaces may be encountered
            • Frequently moving from cold freezer to normal kitchen environment
            • Occasional smoke, steam, and heat in a confined space
              Requirements
              • Valid King County Food Handler Permit
                Physical Demands
                • Some heavy lifting (may lift 10-40 lbs.) and possible moving of equipment required
                • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision for safe navigation of work area and use of equipment
                • Heavy and repetitive hand and arm motion involved in production and clean up
                • Standing, walking, bending, twisting, and balance are all required to perform job task
                • Reaching across surfaces while moving containers, reaching above shoulders for containers for removal and storage
                • Standing a minimum of 8 hours a day
                • Carrying containers of different sizes and different types of product of all shapes and sizes
                • Removing hot items from oven
                • Able to work 10 hours or more shift plus ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
                • Must possess hearing, visual, and sensory abilities to observe and detect emergency situations; also distinguish product, taste, texture, and temperature
