Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide the highest quality of service to Schwartz Brothers
Restaurants' guests. The objective of this position is to sell and
serve food and beverages in a professional manner. The Cocktail
Server will be service focused, with strong guest service skills
and an equally high degree of leadership and support all levels of
staff. Cocktail Servers are responsible for positive guest
interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient
manner and play an integral role in ensuring our customers have
exceptional dining experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following position responsibilities are essential functions of

Provides best possible guest service through prompt greeting,
suggestive selling, food and beverage delivery and follow-up
through conclusion of guest experience
Maintaining complete knowledge of Schwartz Brothers Restaurants'
food and beverage preparation
Promotes sales via a thorough understanding of our products
Able to use POS system accurately to input sales and process orders
and payments
Cash handling: Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting
payments and returning change.
Provide friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well
taken care of.
Maintains section according to service standards, performing setup
and side work duties in an efficient and accurate manner and
helping uphold cleanliness of the restaurant. Completes assigned
opening and side work duties.
Works as proactive member of the team to serve guests by
maintaining a positive, upbeat and energetic attitude towards guest
and coworkers and assisting others.
Provides support to other restaurant staff.
Maintains highest standards of hygiene and sanitation, including
following Health Department standards for hygiene and safe food
handling and holding a current Food Handlers' Permit
Checking identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age
to consume alcoholic beverages; refusing to serve beverages in a
polite manner to guests who are not of legal age.
Adheres to state liquor regulations in serving alcohol and keeps
current liquor permit on person while working
Reporting to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintaining
well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company
policy.
Upholds mission and philosophy of company
Performing other duties as asked and directed
Knowledge, Skills, and Aptitudes:
Washington State MAST Class 12 or 13 permit and food handlers card
required.
Basic mathematical skills, ability to make change if required
Basic reading and writing skills. Ability to read menus, safety
documents, etc.
Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and follow
through on commitments
High energy and stamina are required
Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively
Strong verbal communication skills required
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items
Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required
Ability to read menus, safety documents, etc.
Minimum of three (3) years of fine dining experience
Extensive knowledge of food and wine is required
Professional appearance and demeanor

Required to stand and walk with heavy trays (up to 25 pounds)
Required the ability to bend, twist, reach, stand and walk for
extended periods of time to perform normal job functions

reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel,
crouch, or crawl
Specific sensory abilities required by this job include sight,
taste, smell and hearing
Must be able to frequently communicate with other team members
While performing the duties of this job the team member is
occasionally exposed to raw meat, moving mechanical parts, airborne
particles, hazardous materials, and risk of electrical shock
May be exposed to hazards including, but not limited to cuts from
knives, slipping, tripping, falls and burns
Frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions,
meat products, poultry products, seafood and produce items and
frequent washing of hands
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
Frequently works with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
Requires the ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds on
occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly
Must meet Washington State minimum age for using required
equipment
Flexibility and/or reliability in work schedule are required to
provide support when needed
