The HR Specialist is responsible for providing HR support and customer service to both local and remote employees in the US and Canada. The HR Specialist is part of a collaborative team responsible for implementing Human Resource (HR) initiatives and establishing HR functional excellence. Primary responsibility is to provide HR support to the PACCAR Corporate, PACCAR Financial and PACCAR Leasing Division employees, administer HR programs and policies, participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide excellent customer service to employees and business leadersJob Functions / ResponsibilitiesRecruitment and Talent Management:
--- Welcomes new employees to PACCAR by administering the new employee onboarding experience including new hire communication, coordination of new hire paperwork, E-Verify work authorization tracking and facilitating first-day orientation. Ensures system access is managed through IT Service Request process. -
--- Maintains and ensures compliance of employee hard copy and electronic records.
--- Responsibility for the exit interview process, survey and analysis.Training and Development:
--- Coordinates division's annual training plan, including administering and supporting adherence to compliance training programs.
--- Support and contribute to the growth of the mentorship program and activities.
--- Supports annual performance appraisal and succession planning process including employee records administration.Engagement, Rewards and Retention:
--- Supports annual benefits Open Enrollment through coordination of communication and addressing employee questions as needed.
--- Promotes employee engagement through co-chairing the Service Award recognition program.
--- Support leave of absence programs (FMLA, Disability, Worker's Compensation, ADA, etc.).Organizational and HR Effectiveness:
--- Maintains employee data in HR Information system and updates division organizational charts.
--- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
--- Participates in global HR continuous improvement initiatives and HR Projects as assigned.
--- Manages HR communications including employee announcements, engagement activities, building announcements and general HR information.Job Requirements
--- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is required. -
--- 1-2 years of relevant human resources experience preferred.
--- Proficient with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. -
--- HRIS experience preferred; SAP and SuccessFactors a plus.
--- Working knowledge of Employment Law, FMLA, ADA, FLSA and Worker's Compensation.
--- Ability to effectively accomplish multiple priorities in established time periods.
--- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach.
--- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation.
--- Ability to work with confidential information and adapt to continually changing priorities.
--- Must be a creative and innovative problem-solver who can develop an analysis based on researching HR trends. -
