-- Requisition Summary The Technical Problem Solving Coach and
Practitioner will have training and experience in advanced problem
solving techniques. The ideal candidate will be excited to solve
complex problems, enjoy challenges that others find too difficult,
and be passionate about helping to solve problems. This person will
be responsible for solving technical problems and implementing
control mechanisms to sustain the improvement in product and
process quality. The Technical Problem Solving Coach & Practitioner
has the flexibility to work remotely in the following locations:
Bellevue, WA, Denton, TX, Columbus, MS, Chillicothe, OH or
Louisville, KY.-- Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Create training materials for technical problem solving.
- Solve complex and difficult to solve technical problems.
- Apply Structured Problem Solving Methods to improve product
quality, process capability and eliminate defects.
- Provide analysis and feedback to senior management on project
activities, improvements, and savings.
- Develop and lead cross-functional teams to recommend and
implement product and process improvement plans to improve
performance at PACCAR, suppliers, dealers and customers.
- Transfer best practices, techniques, procedures and tools to
product and process improvement teams.
- Challenge conventional wisdom by demonstrating successful
application of new methodologies to improve product and process
- Expected travel up to 50% of the time. Skills Required ---
Expert technical problem solving skills using various structured
problem solving methods, such as Shanin RedX, Six Sigma, AIAG
7-Step, 8D, etc. Demonstrated by solving complex technical issues
involving quality, engineering, manufacturing, and other cross
functional teams. --- Facilitate big impact technical projects
requiring cross-functional resource support --- Proven leadership
skills. --- Proven ability to influence cross divisionally and
functionally without authority.
--- High energy level, goal oriented self-starter with willingness
to learn new ideas.
--- Proven project management skills.
--- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation
--- Desire to drive change and improve processes and standards.
--- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of the
organization with minimal supervision.
--- Commercial Vehicle process/product knowledge.
--- Able to manage and resolve conflict. Education/Training
--- Bachelors degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
