You will participate in day to day operations of a team developing software used in the image acquisition and post-processing steps of biological fluorescent imaging workflows.. The Cell DIVE multiplexed imaging system is a research tool used by scientists and clinicians searching for a way to optimize cancer treatment options. Cell DIVE uses a patented multiplexed imaging workflow to provide in-depth information about the tissue microenvironment. The Immuno-Oncology market space is estimated at $40B US in 2021. A huge opportunity! Where does Cell DIVE fit? There is a realized need for early stratification of patientswhat makes up a patients cancer? Today, pathologists do not have tools that can identify cancer beyond binary answers such as does a patient have canceryes or no. This leads to guessing at treatment. Current Immunotherapy averages over $100K per treatment but is only roughly 30% effective. Cell DIVE is just being introduced as a product but has been in research development at eight test sites for the last several years. Your work will help enable new discoveries that improve patient outcomes and deepen researchers understanding of the tissue microenvironment. Cell DIVE can provide answers like what types of cells are present, where are the biomarkers expressed, and what is the tumor microenvironment. This an exciting opportunity to develop software for a product that can have an incredible impact on the quality of life for patients around the globe diagnosed with cancer.. What Youll Do:. Develop software used in the image acquisition and post-processing steps of biological fluorescent imaging workflows. Maintain, design and create software to control microscope hardware and instruments. Work with image acquisition systems including capture, manipulation, and optimization of image data. Help the team to improve the technical quality of their work through regular technical design and code reviews. Participate in an Agile environment contributing to the entire SDLC process.. Who You Are:. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Minimum of 8 years of Software Development experience. Expert with C and C++. Experience with imaging processing: stitching, flat-fielding, registration. Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems. Experience with Python, BASH, and other scripting languages. Strong technical contributor with a proven track record of using your expertise to help the team. Desired Characteristics:. Experience in Biotech, Medical Device, or Healthcare. Experience with advanced imaging calibrations including field non-uniformity, optical distortion, non-ideality of magnification, para-centrism of multiple objectives etc.. Experience with hardware control systems including multi-axis positioning systems. Excellent communication and document skills. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Must be willing to work out of an office located in Bellevue, WA Flexible schedule of 2 days per week in the office is available after return to office projected in Jan. 2022..
