Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Full-stack Software Engineer to join our Sharing, Access, and Identity team that owns the enterprise grade user identity experience for Smartsheet. You will build delightful, modern and secure sign-in and administration experiences for our customers. You will also drive the delivery of the next generation of Authentication platform built for performance and scale and enriched with several new capabilities for our customers.
You will report to our Senior Manager, Engineering located in our Bellevue, WA office and will also have the option to work remotely from any registered location within the United States:
You Will:

• 
  
• Work on all areas of the application: front-end, back end, databases, infrastructure and test automation
  
• Become the expert for the team's SPA UI Architecture
  
• Develop reusable components used across our product (we use React, Redux, JSX, JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS, HTML, and css)
  
• Develop Java-based backend components that scale easily to accommodate rapid customer growth
  
• Build robust distributed services and systems from inception through to production
  
• Champion improvements in the quality and stability of live site and promote engineering best practices
  
• Participate in all stages of product development
  
• Dive deep into global-scale service issues and drive resiliency, latency, and product reliability
  
• Demonstrate strong customer empathy, curiosity and willingness to question and learn
  
  You Have:
  
  • 
    
  • 5+ years software development experience
    
  • Proficiency with one or more object-oriented programming languages (Our stack is mostly Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript. We use React on the frontend.)
    
  • Familiarity with design patterns, RESTful APIs, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure
    
  • Recognized, taken ownership of complicated technical cross-team issues and guided them to resolution
    
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
    
  • BS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience
