Join the AWS Energy team and help revolutionize the utility
industry through advanced AI solutions that transform how utilities
manage grid planning, operations, and interconnections during an
era of unprecedented electricity demand and renewable energy
transition. You'll work on breakthrough technology that
dramatically reduces grid connection study timelines, enables
utilities to process multiple interconnection requests
simultaneously, and runs significantly more grid scenarios than
traditional methods—directly addressing the industry's massive
interconnection backlog representing hundreds of billions in
delayed infrastructure investments. Our AI-driven workflows replace
static, sequential engineering processes with dynamic, parallel
processing capabilities that integrate with industry-standard
tools, serving hundreds of transmission and distribution utilities
globally as they meet growing electricity demands from data
centers, electric vehicles, and renewable energy sources while
improving grid reliability and accelerating revenue-producing
projects. Key job responsibilities - Collaborate with experienced
cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring
innovative products and services to market. - Design and build
innovative technologies in a large distributed computing
environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry. -
Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with
exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
- Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are
scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use. -
Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined

non-internship professional software development experience -
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as
Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design - Bachelor's
degree in computer science or equivalent - Knowledge of
professional software engineering & best practices for full
software development life cycle, including coding standards,
software architectures, code reviews, source control management,
continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence -
Experience communicating technical concepts and processes using
clear, simple language and visuals - Experience handling ambiguous
or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
