Security Operations Engineer will ensure the 24x7 availability of
this infrastructure, supporting the rest of the team in their

‘tip of the spear’ and the last line of defense protecting company
and customer data from our adversaries.
We are looking for an individual contributor that wants to
leverage their existing network security, system administration,
operations, and scripting/development skills and take it to the
next level in a world-class security environment. Salesforce

to support our incident response, security analytics, and threat

Bellevue, Indianapolis, Herndon, San Francisco and will require off
hours on-call rotations.
Deploying large scale distributed systems in datacenters around
Design, Installation, operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting
of our security monitoring infrastructure.
Rapid response to security monitoring infrastructure outages or
degradations of service.
Troubleshoot network, hardware, operating system
Root-cause analysis across multiple systems in a highly
distributed global environment.
Build and improve our automation for deployment and
3 or more years in Linux systems engineering/operations.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools like chef or
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills,
especially for documentation purposes.
Strong scripting skills (i.e. Python, Ansible, Puppet, Go, Ruby,
Shell Script) for automation.
Ability to work as part of a globally distributed team.
Expert in deploying and troubleshooting modern Linux operating
Proficient in network packet analysis.
Working knowledge of network switches and components used in
server hardware, eg raid controllers, ilo/drac.
Large scale systems management experience (at least 250 servers,
and growing every day).
Network Switch configuration.
Taps, Packet Brokers, distributed network analysis with a
working knowledge of IDS, e.g. snort, suricata or bro
Working knowledge of Hadoop, Splunk, Elastic Search.
