Interface with the Applied Perception Science, and User Research
Studies Team to maintain a database of research participants and
ensure that participant personally identifiable information (PII)
is handled in strict compliance with data privacy standards.
Work with the Applied Perception Science teams scientists to
submit research plans for internal research committee and
Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.
Assist in maintaining a database of ongoing research projects to
ensure accurate reporting of status, reviews, and approvals.
Assist Technical Project Managers with the development and
documentation of study procedures and project- or
apparatus-specific training materials.
Assist the Applied Perception Science research team with study
set-up. This includes utilizing a study set up checklist and
ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained. This may
include coordinating safety reviews with internal or external
safety organizations, and working with researchers to complete
submission templates for various internal reviews.
Assist with coordinating study room bookings. This includes
keeping a multi-facility tracking flow updated at least weekly,
tracking which study rooms are in use or available and fulfilling
study room booking requests.
Interface with IT and Network infrastructure teams to ensure
that study spaces have appropriate network configuration for
research project needs.
Manage an inventory of the teams research apparatuses and maintain
a schedule of research scientist usage thereof.
Work with the Perception Science Research and User Research
Studies Team to request, and coordinate Research Assistant (RA)
assignments across the research portfolio. This includes the use
and maintenance of a proprietary task tracking system.
Assist the Perception Science Research team with study
participant recruiting and scheduling. As needed, prepare
solicitation materials (following standards and policies), lead the
dissemination of those materials, and coordinate activities with
Bachelors degree in psychology, HCI, or a related field.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Experience understanding and communicating technical information to
Experience coordinating and maintaining schedules across multiple
teams, managing shared resources, and coordinating with a legal
Organizational and planning experience.
Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams.
Bachelors Degree in psychology, HCI, or a scientific discipline
related to user research.
Education and work experience in research administration.
2+ years experience in a research environment.
2+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator or equivalent
educational experience (e.g. masters degree in relevant field).
Experience with program management software (e.g. Jira) and
experience with CRM software (e.g. Constant Contact, Salesforce) or
similar contact database software.
