Surgeon Dr. Kristin Tarbet in Bellevue. We are looking for a
full-time Ophthalmic Technician/Medical Assistant that is someone
who will make a positive impression with each of our patients as
they come into our practice.
+ Providing accurate documentation and summarization of the
ocular examination and recommendations.
+ Maintaining patient flow and communicating regarding
+ Assisting Ophthalmologists by performing ophthalmic clinical
functions, such as patient workups and special testing.
+ May administer eye medications and instruct the patient in
care and treatment of eye conditions, apply dressings to eye, as
well as assist with in-office lasers and procedures.

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6
months of post-secondary education and/or training.
Minimum 1-year experience as an ophthalmic assistant,
experienced COA or COT preferred.
Maintains appropriate education, certification, licensure and
Graduation from an accredited school or program, or equivalent
combination of education and experience required.
Basic knowledge of medical coding terminology and
Basic math skills (add, subtract, etc.), understand and use
fractions, decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office products, Windows
environment, and strong keyboarding skills.
Willing to help in all areas, have flexibility and effectively
work in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication for exemplary
Professional appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and
Strong organization with attention to detail.
