Job Description:

Device & Supply Chain is an enterprise function accountable for the end-to-end life-cycle of T-Mobile's consumer-facing hardware portfolio (phones, tablets, wearables, computers/Chromebooks, accessories, IoT), device services portfolio (insurance, warranty, trade-ins, and financing), and supply chain operations (distribution centers, logistics, inventory, etc.).

Device Strategy team is responsible for building device portfolio and roadmap that fuel enterprise growth for T-Mobile. Goals include driving subscriber growth, improving device costs, accelerating technology innovations, improving the impact on supply chain operations, and capitalizing on insights from customers purchase to help T-Mobile achieve its financial targets. The team is also responsible for delivering insights to drive success in strategic supply chain initiatives and partnerships.

At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United StatesHigh School Diploma or GED

  • Experience designing and operating analytical frameworks and financial models to guide executive decisions in complex business problems
  • Experience framing unstructured and complex analytical problems and convert them to actionable device portfolio decisions
  • Data analysis and modeling skills on tools like Excel and SQL at an advanced level - Models need to be auditable, replicable, and transferable. Comfortable extracting and manipulating large datasets with SQL. Preferred experience in data analysis tools and mathematical programming tools like Python, MATLAB, Alteryx, Tableau, and GIS systems
  • Demonstrated excellent skills in one or more of the following areas: data analysis/visualization, financial modeling, forecasting, and statistical modeling
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to present analytical results to executives in verbal and written form and ability to influence senior leaders, peers, and other organization members. Deep expertise in creating executive level presentations in MS PowerPoint
  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following (or related) industries: technology, telecom, supply chain, retail, mobile devices, subscription services
  • Experience on wireless network and/or device technologies is a plus
  • Experience in one or more of the following roles: management consultancy with analytics, corporate strategy and analytics, subscriber analysis, technology penetration analysis
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Industrial Engineering, Business or Statistics, and Master's/PhD Degree in Operations Research/Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance or MBA preferred
  • Flexible, self-starter, and comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment
  • Desire for a high level of responsibility and ownership and ability to work with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment

  • Create strategic and analytical frameworks to guide device selection, portfolio management, and device lifecycle decisions
  • Structure complex business models to provide analytics and guidance to OEM partner negotiations
  • Evaluate device portfolio needs, perform customer segmentation, and analysis for a broad variety of line of businesses and customer segments
  • Develop financial models to guide executive decisions for strategic partnerships, device strategy, and supply chain operations
  • Explore and synthesize insights from technology, industry, and competitive research
  • Work with key enterprise stakeholders including marketing, technology, and finance to develop short- and long-term device strategy, provide key analysis, and advise on opportunities and threats
  • Create and deliver executive level presentations and dashboards on strategy, insights, and execution to senior management and partner organizations
