Job Description:

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software to enhance customer experiences for telecom based call center representatives and to deliver new capabilities supporting corporate business objectives.
  • Own the development of one or many web fronted, cloud based running in various platforms including AWS Conductor, EC2, Docker, Cassandra, RDS, and Gitlab.
  • Design and develop domain capabilities to support complex business objectives that enhance the overall working function of frontline care workers.
  • Ensure Continuous Integration and Build is in place.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into documented technical specifications or User Stories.
  • Utilize development skills within Angular 8+, Java, NodeJS, Spring, Casandra Query, Language, and Selenium, to build (code) and unit test new systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results.
  • Identify and create/update support documentation as needed by the DevOps function.
  • Apply Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and performance analysis utilizing Visual Studio Code, Chrome Development/Performance Tools, eclipse, and, Sublime, for web/client based apps resulting in high Quality and High Performing apps.
  • Apply experience with IAAS providers (AWS) including setup and configuration.
  • Apply experience in application development for Cloud platforms using technologies including ANGULAR 8, HTML5, CSS, Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Micro Services, Relational Database (RDBMS, AWS RDS), AWS Technologies (EC2, S3, Lambda, Conductor, Clowdwatch), Apache Cassandra (Cassandra query language and CQLSH), Gitlab CI-CD, Docker, or REST.
  • Apply experience in building and launching client based light weight Web APPs. for enterprise scale use in an extremely High System Availability environment.
  • Apply experience with Internet technologies and protocols viz. HTTP(s), SSL, OAuth, REST, JSON, and XML.
  • Apply experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies within Agile SDLC processes, utilizing Rally and Jira.
  • Direct build and unit test production deployment packages for use within technical delivery Pipelines, Gitlab/Jenkins.
  • Facilitate reviews (walkthroughs) or grooming sessions and demos of technical specifications and program code with other members of the technical team, communicating design, requirements, feature set, functionality and limitations of systems/applications to team and development lead.
  • Utilize product lifecycle methodology, including API lifecycle management as a guide for development activities.
  • Provide on-call and after-hours support as required for production releases and to respond and provide active resolution support on production outages.

Collaborate with architects, Software Engineers, and Business and Technology partner teams on timely, successful delivery of product enhancements and support.

Functional and Technical Skills:

Applicant's experience must include:

Experience and Education:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master of Science in Computer Science, related field or its equivalent and 1 year of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, related field or its equivalent and 3 years of relevant work experience.
