Director, Un-carrier Marketing

In 2013, T-Mobile launched the first Un-carrier move to right
the wrongs of the wireless industry once and for all. Since then,
T-Mobile has launched over 15 additional moves to address consumer
pain points and give customers the best value in wireless. The
Director of Un-carrier Marketing will help to power the Un-carrier
forward both now & in the future. This role builds innovative
solutions centered around the consumers that attracts new
customers, drives profitable growth, and truly sets T-Mobile
We are looking for candidates who have a strong competency in
analytics, storytelling, marketing strategy, value proposition
development, business acumen, and leadership.
While the quality and accomplishments of a person's career will
be the determining factor, the finalist must have the following
- Bachelor's Degree required in Marketing, Business,
Communications, or relevant field of study such as Computer
- Minimum 10 years' experience managing product marketing teams
and delivering successful, holistic product marketing plans that
can be tied to increased business revenue.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the wireless/telecom
- Experience developing go-to-market strategies, integrated
marketing and launch plans, messaging and related tactics in close
cooperation with Product Management, Sales and other key
- Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and projects
with cross-functional teams including product management,
marketing, engineering, field marketing, external vendors and sales
- Experience developing formal partnerships, contract
negotiations, and co-marketing agreements.
- Proven track record of building and managing teams and a
passion for mentoring and developing people.
What you'll do in your role:
- Have your finger on the pulse of what is happening in the
wireless industry and how the competition is driving Innovation to
- Develop comprehensive strategy to support Un-carrier
initiatives including consumer research, financial analysis,
capability requirements and brand story to drive leadership
- Bring creative problem solving and storytelling to business
- Partners with cross-functional teams including product &
technology, pricing, device financing, integrated marketing and go
to market to develop and execute on initiatives. The role requires
strong cross functional partnership across the enterprise to ensure
flawless execution of new projects in market and performance
