Position Summary

This position is for the Revenue Technology domain. The main purpose of our domain is to serve our T-Mobile Accounting partners with Accounting reports & dashboards (Month, Quarter and Year-End) which is achieved by timely processing and revenue recognition of Prepaid & Postpaid data. Our application is designed and scaled to process & post financial data in accordance with business rules and ASC 605/606 standards.

Functional and Technical Skills:

Applicant's experience must include:

  • Experience working with Aptitude suite of tools: Aptitude Revenue Recognition Engine (ARRE), Aptitude Accounting Hub (AAH), Aptitude Data Acquisition Platform (DAP), Aptitude DBClarity, and Aptitude GUI to provide solutions that meet ASC606 and ASC605 accounting standards.
  • Experience loading data into Oracle and Teradata production and development warehouse using BTEQ, FASTLOAD, FASTEXPORT, MULTI LOAD, and ETL Tools, including Aptitude and Informatica, for processing, storing and reporting of revenue recognition of Prepaid and Postpaid data.
  • Experience with PL/SQL, SQL queries, data analysis, creation of stored procedures, and validation of revenue for prepaid and postpaid data in Teradata and Oracle Databases that is capable of processing at least 4 million transactions per day.
  • Experience in performance tuning Aptitude microflows, complex rules, and DBClarity, along with high-volume databases that process at least 4 million transactional data per day.
  • Experience performing Aptitude code management using Accurev, Bitbucket, or Gitlab.
  • Experience creating and scheduling daily Aptitude jobs using Control M to process previous-day files using the provided reference and transactional postpaid and prepaid data for revenue recognition.
  • Experience writing and organizing Revenue Accounting Prepaid and Postpaid requirements; designing, developing, and testing user stories in Jira Align, Jira, and qTest; and creating prepaid and postpaid Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Year end reports using Aptitude RDR as source system and Power BI and Alteryx as the reporting layer.

Experience and Education:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master of Science in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or its equivalent and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or its equivalent and 5 years of relevant work experience.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop microflows, complex rules, and DBClarity objects using Aptitude Data Acquisition Platform (DAP), Aptitude Revenue Recognition Engine (ARRE), Aptitude Accounting Hub (AAH) and Aptitude GUI to deliver requirements, interfaces, and reports and meet IT Governance and Financial Control Governance compliances that support corporate business objectives.
  • Translate Revenue Recognition related business and functional requirements into artifacts that include Design document, technical specifications, functional mapping, test evidences, Epics, Features, and user stories.
  • Own the technical vision and development of Revenue Accounting Platform (with application components of DAP, ARRE, AAH and RDR) to enable revenue recognition for Telecom Prepaid and Postpaid Customer data fulfilling the ASC605 and ASC606 standards.
  • Apply experience loading data into Oracle and Teradata production and development warehouse using BTEQ, FASTLOAD, FASTEXPORT, MULTI LOAD, and ETL Tools, including Aptitude and Informatica, for processing, storing and reporting of revenue recognition of Prepaid and Postpaid data.
  • Design and develop tables and views in Aptitude Reporting Database Repository and create and maintain daily, Month-End, Quarter-End and Year End reports using Alteryx and Power BI as reporting layers to support the reporting needs of Revenue accounting partners.
  • Apply experience with PL/SQL, SQL queries, data analysis, creation of stored procedures, and validation of revenue for prepaid and postpaid data in Teradata and Oracle Databases that is capable of processing at least 4 million transactions per day.
  • Performance tune Aptitude Microflows, complex rules, and DBClarity,.objects, and Teradata and Oracle Databases along with high-volume databases that process at least 4 million transactional data per day.
  • Build, test (Unit, Integration, Regression, Performance, and Load test), and implement Aptitude, Teradata, and Oracle deployment packages using Accurev, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
  • Design, develop, and schedule Aptitude Daily Processing jobs using Control-M tool to process previous-day files using the provided reference and transactional postpaid and prepaid data for revenue recognition.
  • Use Unix commands to schedule, execute, and debug Aptitude jobs and cleardown memory.
  • Facilitate reviews (walkthroughs) of design, technical, SIS, and test results documents.
  • Prioritize the user stories in grooming and sprint planning sessions, and conduct demos of technical specifications and program code with other members of the technical team.
  • Apply experience writing and organizing Revenue Accounting Prepaid and Postpaid requirements; designing, developing, and testing user stories in Jira Align, Jira, and qTest; and creating prepaid and postpaid Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Year end reports using Aptitude RDR as source system and Power BI and Alteryx as the reporting layer.
  • Communicate design, requirements, feature set, functionality, and limitations of systems/applications to team, development lead, business customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other teams including business customers, Enterprise Testing, Release Planning and Management, Project Management, and Application Support on successful delivery of product enhancements and support.
