Media Attribution, Ops, and Strategy is a team of thought leaders and problem solvers who apply rigorous analytics to help assess and steer T-Mobile's enterprise paid media spend, driving business growth through our media investments. We combine our ability to dive into the data with sharp business acumen - we understand the drivers of performance through every stage of the funnel and advise senior leadership on key media investment decisions.

We are seeking a leader to build out a newly formed reporting team, hiring and managing talent, and ultimately responsible for delivering a combination of executive and operational reporting in Tableau. You will partner with engineering teams to ensure that data sets (including API feeds and log files) are landed and that ETL processes meet our requirements. You will help to validate the accuracy of this data, and ensure that our reporting is comprehensive and accurate. And you will be responsible for delivering reporting and visualizations on media data: spend, pacing, media outcomes, ROI, and campaign performance drilldowns across publishers, placements, creatives, audiences, geographies, dayparts, and many other critical dimensions.

Reporting directly to the Sr Dir of the MAOS team, the successful candidate will have extensive experience managing reporting teams, and be adept at prioritizing and juggling multiple concurrent projects. They will have expert-level understanding of Tableau, best practices for visualization, and a knack for presenting information in a way that is simple and effective.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of managing a high-performing reporting team
  • Strong leader; demonstrated ability to recruit and retain exceptional talent
  • Expert-level Tableau development skills; multiple years of demonstrated experience developing dashboards and strong working knowledge of strengths/weaknesses of tool
  • Strong problem solver and communicator, with proven track record of effective partnership; demonstrated ability to present to senior business leaders
  • Able to handle multiple workstreams concurrently with excellent prioritization skills and self-motivation
  • Familiarity with digital media (Display, Video, OTT, Social, Search), adtech stack, and media measurement (MMM, MTA) preferred
  • Willingness to learn and develop new analytical skills and technical knowledge in a fast-growing, dynamic business
  • Fluent with SQL (required) and a wide variety of other reporting tools: excel, powerBI, R, python, ETL tools
  • Build and manage a team of Tableau developers and reporting rockstars (4-5 people)
  • Coordinate with business partners to understand reporting needs and build a reporting roadmap to get those needs addressed
  • Manage and deliver against roadmap, developing tableau dashboards and other automated reporting solutions
  • Partner with data and engineering teams to land critical data sets and provide requirements for upstream databases and data sources
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of data being reported on - make sure that feeds are updating on schedule and any fixes requiring engineering support are identified and prioritized
  • Manage contracts and work queue of any contractors that support the team
  • Oversee simple ETL jobs that pull in data from a variety of sources; including SQL to categorize and clean data sets as necessary
  • Provide training to business users on reporting solutions;
  • Facilitate recurring meetings to demonstrate new features/functionality, as well as communication to announce and distribute solutions as they are developed
  • Manage access and permissions to reporting solutions and dashboards team has created
