Amazon Luna is a cloud gaming service designed for the love of play by making it easy for customers to play console quality games on devices they already own, including PC, Mac, Fire TV and iOS/Android phones and tablets.

Having recently launched, we are looking for a talented and highly motivated Sr. Brand Communications Designer to join our fast paced, start-up team. The Luna Sr. Brand Communications Designer will act as the creative brand lead on the Luna Marketing Team, owning and leading creative asset development for bringing the brand to life, across key advertising touchpoints, to connect with customers.

A day in the life

You will use your keen creative and design skills to develop ads for major product/feature launches across key touchpoints, including Amazon.com, the Luna client, Fire TV and social. Additionally, you will guide internal and external teams on executing the Luna brand guidelines to a high standard across owned and paid channels. You will also own development of the character game art library which will require you to develop bespoke Luna designs that feature characters from publishers' games. Finally, you will work closely with marketing, OX and PR teams from ideation through execution and set mechanisms for managing projects efficiently.

About the hiring group

The Sr. Brand Communications Designer will be part of the Luna Marketing Team, which consists of integrated marketing, social, sales, go-to-market and engagement functions. As part of this team you will help grow our customer base and build Luna's brand relevance with gamers.

Job responsibilities

  • Development of monthly Amazon.com, Luna client and Fire TV campaign assets (e.g. banner ads and feature rotator ads) as well as social organic and paid assets (e.g. static images, gifs, video)
  • Development of the Luna game character art library, leveraging publishers' assets (that can be used across teams)
  • Establish and own mechanisms for managing and prioritizing creative asset requests across the Luna marketing team
  • Act as the brand steward for ensuring proper execution of the Luna brand guidelines across touchpoints

The ideal candidate has experience designing ad layouts for multi-channel campaigns as well as basic proficiency in creating motion assets. You are well versed in illustrating and translating ideas into breakthrough visual design. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty, thrive in a start-up environment, and can juggle multiple priorities.

  • 6+ years of experience as a designer at a creative agency or similar experience
  • An available online portfolio
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch and Keynote
  • Hands-on experience designing ad layouts and design illustration
  • Proficiency in video editing software and motion design/After Effects
  • Experience developing ad copy, a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to roll-up sleeves to make things happen
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Experience in gaming or entertainment industries
