Amazon's Seller-fulfilled network comprises over 2 million Sellers disrupting traditional notions of global retail and connecting millions of businesses, big and small, to millions of Customers. Shipping is critical to customer satisfaction in physical e-commerce, and it is the second most costly component of the business, after the cost of the product itself. Carrier selection in shipping has a direct impact on Customer experience. By developing partner relationships, you will improve our Sellers' shipping experience by enabling them to more effectively choose the carrier that will deliver when Amazon promises. The successful candidate will be able to effectively negotiate with shipping software providers, integrate our products into their offering, and deliver results through improved delivery experience for Customers. Successful candidates will have a strong track-record of negotiating multi-million dollar deals, delivering successful negotiations at significant scale, and providing thought leadership within the Seller Fulfillment Services organization. To be successful in this role you will have an established background in business development, excellent communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a dynamic fast paced environment.

As a Sr. Business Development Manager on Seller Fulfillment Services, you will work closely with product managers to lead our partner strategy with shipping software providers. You will identify opportunities and work with internal product, tech and business development teams to prioritize our product integration and business cases for new partners and new geographic regions. You will lead the go to market strategy for a new product line, owning the adoption goals, improving the fulfillment experience of our Sellers and the delivery experience of Amazon customers. You will gain a detailed understanding of our partners' business and technical requirements, and collaborate with internal development teams to guide the direction of our current and future product offerings.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify new product integration opportunities with existing and shipping software providers
  • Be the voice of the Seller and partner to guide product development and iterations
  • Explore industry trends to identify new business opportunities
  • Identify, evaluate, structure, negotiate and manage partnerships
  • Establish goals, plans, and metrics to track progress to achieve program objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of Amazon experience
  • 5+ years enterprise sales experience with track record of exceeding sales objectives
  • Strong business judgement and superb communication skills
  • Ability to influence others
  • Highly analytical with passion for data
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
  • 4+ years of experience working in the transportation space
  • 6+ years of advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • MBA, MS or MA
  • Proven ability to prospect, recruit, and manage executive level relationships
  • Experience in transportation and shipping
  • Excellent presentation, sales, and negotiation skills; ability to close high profile deals
