What You'll Do


-


We are seeking a successful -Investment Operations Associate -who is a multi-tasker at heart, with strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset that thrives in a fast-paced and evolving organization. Our ideal candidate is coachable, has a willingness to learn, and consistently performs at a high level under variable workloads. Manage performance reporting software (Tamarac) for the team, providing reports to advisors, clients, and management


Assist operations department in transition from prospect to client and the ongoing maintenance of client relationships


Work with a lead portfolio manager on the discretionary management of assets for private clients


Successfully implement investment portfolio changes for clients by processing trades at an individual account level and/or across all clients when the need arises


Conduct research on existing and potential investments. This includes due diligence on various types of investments per the guidance of the firm's partners with the result being analysis and recommendation for investment strategy additions/subtractions


Assist research team in ad hoc projects, composing briefs to communicate the team's investment strategies to clients and prospects



Support all aspects of a leading private wealth management operation. - -Ability to wear multiple hats and be a genuine team player. Provide operational support to advisory teams, analysts and the client base/intermediaries by providing reporting or information, responding to inquiries, conducting research, completing service requests and providing guidance and technical direction


Act as a liaison with clearing firm (Schwab), all internal departments, product contacts and others to facilitate necessary requests and respond to inquiries appropriately


Participation in and completion of projects, initiatives and ad hoc deliverables as required and/or assigned to maintain and enhance a high level of service, increase efficiency and redundancy, reduce errors

The ideal candidate will have experience and attributes in the following areas:

Strong interpersonal skills and an innate ability to build immediate rapport with personnel and clients.


Solid understanding of advisor needs; experience in delivering client-focused solutions.


Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies to "power" complex and diverse advisor practices


Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.




Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business or Finance


Experience in investment management business (minimum of 2 years required)


Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills


Detail focused that leads to minimal errors in execution on critical tasks (especially trading client accounts)


Generalist capable of covering multiple investment strategies


Energetic and team oriented individual to support a fast growing, top performing & elite advisory practice


Excellent quantitative, verbal and written communication skills-must be able to provide a concise investment thesis for a range of audiences (from portfolio manager to unsophisticated client)


Passion for investing, with a strong desire to build a career in the financial industry


Team player with humility and ability to take constructive criticism


Must be proficient in Excel. Ideal candidate would have experience already in trading programs and investment research software


Securities representative licenses (Series 65 license) or the willingness to become securities licensed within six months
