to know the roleThe Chief of Staff is a new and unique role
responsible for partnering with our President and The Pok--mon
Company Japan (TPC) and other key stakeholders to define,
communicate, and support key strategic priorities, and for driving
alignment, clarity and accountability across the Executive team of
both organizations. In this role, you will manage key corporate
initiatives, support strategic analyses, internal and external
stakeholder communication and organization, special projects and
partnerships and manage activities within the office of the
President. Most importantly, you will create leverage for the
President.What you'll do
- Work directly with the President to set the strategic direction
and the operating priorities of TPCi and the Executive team.
- Design and manage the "office of the President." Including
workflows, prioritization of time and execution of key priorities.
- Work with the President to drive the cadence of the business by
structuring and managing interactions with the Executive team, TPC
leaders and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and manage special transversal projects or specific
business unit projects with TPC, other sister companies, including,
but not limited to, GameFreak.
- Work with the President and Executive team to accelerate the
definition of key financial and operational KPIs to drive various
business units and measure health of brand and business where we
operate.
What You Will Contribute
- Enable rapid, well-informed decision-making for the President
by filtering, aggregating, and organizing data from key sources and
presenting in a digestible, unbiased, and actionable format.
- Assist in the development and utilization of primary
executive-level dashboards. Keeping a pulse on the key priorities
and ensuring they are tracking to plan.
- Provide decision support through research, analysis of
information, scenario modelling, and clear presentation of
considerations.
- Monitor OKRs with an eye towards seeing the strategic picture,
uncovering areas of opportunity, and driving improvement.
- Understand and own data/analytics of all the President's
projects, identify data stories in the correct way, synthesize
comprehensive information to tell a cohesive story.
- Identify conflicts (strategic, resources, etc.) and drive broad
prioritization of company initiatives/projects.
- Monitor, report on, and assess critical changes in the
competitive landscape, global marketplace, and external business
environment.
- Conduct meeting preparation and research. You will be
responsible for providing research and insight for key meetings, as
well as defining agendas and preparing materials.
- Act as liaison with TPCi; work with President and Executive
team on meeting preparation logistics.What you'll bring
- Fluently bilingual in Japanese and English. Any additional
language(s) may be considered a plus.
- 7+ years' experience working in a senior position within an
organization with proven, progressive experience and demonstrated
effectiveness leading projects and programs at the
director/executive level.
- Some management consulting experience preferred but not
required
- Project, program and change management skills and experience;
with a demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced
environment.
- Proven ability to lead and influence organizational growth
exercising stewardship and leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and
interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Self-starter with a high desire to learn and grow- highly
curious with the ability to calculate risks.
- Operates with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines
- The ability to flourish and influence others in a dynamic
environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the
ability to adjust to your audience
- Strong business acumen and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Suite; Excel and PowerPoint/Prezi.
- Deep analytical skills, you can pull data, understand the story
behind the data and continue to dive into data to solve problems,
without direction.
- Executional excellence: You have the organizational skills,
meticulous attention to detail, high sense of responsibility, and
generalist skill set to take on a wide range of high priority tasks
in support of the President and Executive team.
- You are dependable, exhibit strong professional integrity and

written (including decks) and verbal communication is compelling
