Job Description:

Our small, local Employee Assistance Program is looking for a Full Time EAP Counselor. This is a great role for someone to use their background in chemical dependency and substance abuse treatment to learn all about employee assistance work.

We do a large part of the EAP work ourselves including intake, short-term counseling, referrals, training, and management consultation. -This position offers the ability to work mostly remotely and very independently, as part of a supportive and consultative -team.

Responsibilities:
--- Assessment, referral, short-term counseling, case management and follow up
--- Recording case information in the database for monthly utilization reports
--- Handling new intake calls
--- Screening employees with positive drug tests, making referrals for treatment, and assisting them in returning to work
--- Dealing with crisis situations
--- Assisting with account management and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:
--- MUST have a Bachelor's degree in mental health counseling or a related field
--- Must have experience with substance abuse treatment and/or assessments
--- MUST reside in WA State
--- Ability to work remotely from home in a quiet, confidential space
--- Ability to de-escalate crisis situations
--- Be comfortable working alone with minimal supervision
