Free Parking!Era Living is seeking a full-time Terrace Recreation Assistant II to become the newest member of our Life Enrichment team located in our The Gardens at Town Square community, Bellevue, WA. We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and team-oriented person to brainstorm new ideas, plan and implement activities, and help enhance the quality of life of our residents. Available shifts will be scheduled Sunday-Thursday, 9:00am-5:30pm. All duties must be performed while ensuring resident safety, maintaining confidentiality, and showing sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults.

• Coordinate and lead group, individual and resident orientation activities
• Coordinate events, including booking, catering and advertising
• Provide clerical support
• Document resident participation
• Oversee Cognitive Enrichment, Physical Fitness and Social programmingKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Able to maintain effective working relationships with all residents, employees, family members and visitors
  • Valid WA State Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to pass DSHS background check, requiredEducation and Experience:
    • High School diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
    • CTRS preferred.
    • Previous experience working with older adults or persons with cognitive impairments, preferred.
    • Required:
    • First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
    • Food Handler's Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire
    • Washington State Alcohol Permit or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
    • Possess or able to obtain as soon as possible upon hire:
    • Complete Caregiver Dementia and Caregiver Mental Health training within 120 days of hire
    • Must complete 70 hour course to earn a long term care aide certificate within 120 days of hire ** Not required if worked in boarding home setting in 2011
