Job Overview
The Solutions Architect develops innovative solutions and
technology strategy. They own the E2E solution design strategy
across teams, and partner with other architects. The role makes
recommendations for new procedures and overall architectural
approach, partnering with senior level Architects. Works on
significant and unique issues where analysis of situation or data
requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises judgement in
methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.
Informal supervision of other's work assignments.
Job Responsibilities:
--- Owns solution design for multiple cross domain initiatives and
works across domains to ensure cohesive solution.
--- Proactively investigates architecture, design strategies and
standards options to address concerns of new solution offerings
prior to creation.
--- Makes and implements complex decisions aimed at improving the
quality, effectiveness or ability to achieve revenue, profitability
and strategic goals for the organization.
--- Leads overall technical design and end-to-end solution design
for highly complex initiatives.
--- Ensures quality, consistency and alignment of designs to TMUS
standards and digital strategy.
--- Manages multiple initiatives in parallel and lends expertise to
Principal and Sr. Architects. Presents solution design to Senior
Leadership in IT and Business.
--- Prepares and maintains design deliverables that include
architecture diagrams, data models, and API / micro-service
architecture.
--- Creates, presents, designs, and implements new ideas which
improve an existing or new system/process/service.
--- Offers new industry views and considerations within the IT
organization.
--- Contributes to industry or vendor forums on TMobile's behalf.
Analyzes industry trends and competitive moves, determines
potential impact on T-Mobile and proposes appropriate actions if
any.
--- Proposes new ideas and innovations to management and peer
architects that may have significant business impacts.
--- Proactively identifies system weaknesses, determines root
cause, and finds solutions for improvement. Creates complex network
and service architecture, design strategies and standards.
--- Possess deep understanding in multiple technologies and
disciplines in the building blocks, interactions, dependencies and
tools required to complete architecture design work.
--- Applies strong knowledge of the various systems used in the
T-Mobile environment and awareness of current technology
benefits.
--- Maintains understanding of the broader impact to the business
from internal and external technology directions.
--- Represents T-Mobile's view on technology issues in public
forums.
--- Supervises writing of advanced documentation, architecture,
capabilities, limitations, and advantages for technologies.
--- Produces advanced documentation and literature for multiple
disciplines.
--- Actively contributes to industry publications and professional
forums.
--- Applies a broad understanding of the products, systems and
technologies across the business portfolio and deep technical
ability on integration of these components to deliver a cohesive
E2E solution architecture for a given initiative.
--- Directs translation of business requirements into technical
requirements that the system analysts and other technical team
members drive into the project design and delivery.
--- Monitors budget, expenses and scope and facilitates project
delivery and support.
--- Interacts with Senior management to shape and align solutions
against desired minimum viable product scope.
--- Informally coaches and contributes to the development of others
through mentoring or inhouse workshops and learning sessions.
Coaches and develops architects across IT functional teams on
technology and solution decisions.
--- Participates in formal internal training programs.

Base Pay Range: $141,300 - $254,900
Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful
candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will
be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications,
and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this
range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible
for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on
their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end
bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is
set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the
prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for
monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance. To
