Job Description:

Security and Threat Operations Architect Smartsheet is looking for a Security and Threat Operations architect to help us scale and implement the technologies and processes associated with world-class cyber defense programs. The Smartsheet Information Security team owns the entire portfolio of product security practices and focuses on a tools-based approach that automates the detection of commonly identified security weaknesses, eliminates risk through secure frameworks and paved-path designs, and empowers engineering to build products quickly and securely. You will report to our VP of Information Security located in our Bellevue, WA office. Work will begin remotely (available in registered states only) until deemed safe to return to the office, after which both onsite and remote options will be available. You Will:

  • Partner across the company to help shape and guide the future of the SecOps / ThreatOps program at Smartsheet
  • Implement world-class technologies and processes for effective global security monitoring and incident response
  • Identify and track potential threats to the service or our customers
  • Work with and provide support to customers in the event of a security incident
  • Provide leadership during incident response and crisis management
  • Lead training exercises for incident response
  • Communicate with leadership and key stakeholders on security events and threats
  • Provide reports, metrics, and analytics related to security operations
  • Develop automation to improve efficiency and scalability of security operations You Have:
    • Expertise with SecOps frameworks like MITRE Att&ck
    • Comfortability leading discussions with both technical and executive level personnel
    • Experience leading security incidents
    • Experience guiding successful programs
    • Demonstrated contributor to highly collaborative and global teams
    • Experience with regulated market or government security operations
    • Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP SecOps is valuable
    • Experience engaging in SaaS incident response
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or experience
    • Additional training or certifications in computer science and security are valued
