The Analytics Team is seeking a senior-level Business Analyst to provide analytics support to AAA Washington's Finance division and Travel business line. You may know AAA as the leader in emergency roadside assistance, but we are also one of the largest leisure travel agencies in Washington State! You will drive impact by delivering extensive financial modeling, data analysis, data stewardship, data visualization, and delivery of self-service products. Responsibilities will also include consulting and collaborating with supported areas to meet business needs, performing project-driven support, and assisting with the budget and forecast processes. This role will work with the Analytics team as well as team members across business units to establish best practices, standardize data governance strategy, share knowledge and skills, foster alignment, and promote a data-driven culture.   • Gather requirements from stakeholders: Consult, collaborate and communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that provide timely, data-driven insights into business performance, issues, and initiatives.
  • Wrangle and Deliver Data : On an advanced level, extract/query, transform, analyze, and deliver data that is usable and understandable to the supported lines of business. May provide input to team members on best approach to data delivery.
  • Build Effective Visualizations and Tools: Build, expand, and enhance data visualizations and reporting solutions, particularly with Tableau, that are contextual, extendable, and facilitate maximum speed-to-inspiration and self-service exploration where applicable. May provide input to team members on building visualizations and reporting solutions.
  • Data Stewardship: Support data governance by acting as the data steward for supported business areas to ensure the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, privacy & compliance, and business value of data sources, data sets, and data pipelines.
  • Track OKRs and Business Metrics: Evaluate metrics and performance within business units to determine if organizational objectives and key results (OKRs), campaigns, initiatives, products, and projects are being accurately measured - providing actionable insights, takeaways, recommendations, and challenging assumptions while maintaining an open and learning mindset.
  • Support Budgeting and Finance Processes: Identify needs, build, and maintain tools and analysis to support budgeting/forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis of variances.
  • Ad hoc Analysis and Reporting: Identify and provide ongoing analysis of business operations in collaboration with other business leaders.Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Informatics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related discipline
    • Minimum 6 years of experience in a data analysis or data visualization role, preferably in travel, insurance, subscription membership and/or service-related industries
    • Experience with data visualization and business intelligence platforms, such as Tableau
    • Expertise in Excel and other data analysis tools, such as Python or R
    • Strong business acumen, communication, and presentation skills
    • Ability to thrive in an environment with competing priorities from multiple stakeholders
    • Expert skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define the problem or identify patterns, relationships, and actionable insights
    • Agile, able to adapt to situations that involve rapidly changing tasks, shifting priorities, competing demands or transitions into new assignments
    • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with the Analytics team and with partners across business units
    • Ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others, motivate/influence others to actions that drives business impact and alignment
    • Has a passion for developing insights from data
    • Experience writing complex SQL
    • Knowledge of data modeling, relational database management, or information architecture
