TechnicianIndustry: Engineering/ManufacturingJob Description:The
worlds leading provider of oceanographic research equipment is
looking to hire a Production Assembly Technician. This person will
use a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, jigs, test
equipment and work instructions to perform a series of operations
to correctly assemble and/or test instruments or subassemblies.
Test Technician II have developed a set of skills to cover a wide
range of products or processes. This position relies on experience
and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Responsibilities:Perform
pre-assembly quality check on all componentsFollow detailed
assembly instructions in a variety of formats (i.e, drawings,
schematics, bills of material, internal procedures or some
combination thereof), and report work completed on a daily
basisPerform quality checks on completed assemblies, as
neededUnderstand and meet quality and delivery requirements, and
understands how duties relate to others in the departmentRecognize
and report problems with quality, processes, equipment or materials
to Production Lead, Supervisor or Operations ManagerMaintain a
clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing best
practicesWork with a high level of supervisionQualifications:High
school diploma or equivalent1-3 years of related work
experienceElectro-mechanical skills (soldering, proper wire
stripping and crimping techniques)Soldering: Through hole, wire
splicing, and surface mount resistorsWorking knowledge of Microsoft
Office SuiteAbility to learn new computer software
programsExcellent attention to detailBasic knowledge of necessary
instruments and toolsLanguage Skills:Ability to read and interpret
drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and/or internal
procedures in EnglishAbility to effectively present information to
Leads, Supervisors and Managers in EnglishAbility to respond to
common inquiries or issuesPhysical Demands:The physical demands
