Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for the management and oversight of accomplishing project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities as assigned. This role is responsible for working across multiple functions to ensure superior operational coordination and project progression. This role will also coordinate with Samsung HQ to provide project management activities on internal initiatives. Problems and issues faced are vague, and require reasoning of broader set of issues and variables to identify root cause within job area. Applies in-depth advanced knowledge and skills of a specific/specialized technical area with understanding of external environment factors that may affect own specialist area. Provides expert advice, coaching and counseling within particular discipline/function area. Develop and manage more Project Management staff. Responsible for the overall effectiveness of the Project Management function. Develop and manage project definition and direction in conjunction with the business owners and other related departments. Develop and manage project budgets, charters and timelines and attain signoff from all key stakeholders. Verify with cross-functional management the resources needed to meet project objectives. Maintain constant communication between various project work stream leaders and address issues as they arise. Anticipate potential high risk project steps and heighten awareness of the project status. Provide routine status updates to the project team and management. Ad hoc projects and analysis, as requested. Responsible for solving complex technical problems and responds to complex requests from internal and external customers. Makes decisions within guidelines and policies. Is accountable for the contributions of the project team.

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, CS or similar field with 7+ years of directly related experience is required.
  • Prior experience with project management/coordination required. Prior management experience required.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools required.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with multiple levels of the organization required.
  • Prior experience in the telecommunications industry preferred.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels with the customer and within and outside the company.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple complex assignments and projects.
  • Read and interpret detailed and complex customer requirements.
  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels, especially in the sales and marketing, logistical, or financial areas of clients, prospects, and SEA.
  • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames.
  • Demonstrated excellence in time management skills and follow up to ensure meeting on time deliverables.
  • The ability to accept tasks and problems/situations that differ and require creativity to search for solutions among learned consequences.
  • Only broad and general guidelines exist for solving problems.
  • The ability to utilize implied knowledge of task alternatives and to make spontaneous decisions using past experience and the guidance of successful experiences of others.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with senior levels within the organization and within external contacts.
  • Proficient in MS Office products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
    Skills and Qualifications
